size help
I just made an appointment for a consult. I will bring a picture with me for the size i want. I think the boobs on the picture looks definately a DD to me. Sorry, i regret to have no possibility to scan it in and show you. They look a little fake but that is what i want.
I did some research and saw the cc's that are used for the DD range vary from 400 - 800 cc!!! I know it is not easy to say but what do you think? My stats: 5'9", 34b, 136 lbs |

The thing is....
Cup size, schmut size really, because different band sizes means different cup sizes...for example- I'm 5'7, 130lb and i was a 32AA before my 380cc, and at 1mth post-op i am a 32D, but that is equivalent from my readings as a 34C, i'm still a bit confused you need to ask ina on that stuff- she is better at explaining that!! I really think that you should throw cup sizes out the window, not only the bandwidth changes the cup size but also so do different brands and styles. Personally i recommend working backwards. Find the breast size you want either from the rice test or trying on implants at your PS office and then when you find the size that you like/suits you and after you get your surgery then figure out what cup size you are. Nobody knows what cupsize your bra is except you, briefly the sales assistant, your partner (if he remembers) and anyone you decide to tell...what they do know is what they look like. What i am trying to say is that cup size is really difficult language to speak in.... Hope that made sense!! Last edited by Nikki; 05-24-2008 at 03:09 PM. |

Id say to forget cup sizes for now...you'll have enough problems with cup sizes post op...pick a pic you like, get rice testing and come up with cc....we all accomodate our new boobs differently...and wear them differently...good luck...the confusion is only just beginning lol

Throw out the cup size. Kinda like the 1970's, except we are trying to be in some kind of cup size. No bra burnings here.
Do the rice or water test in an inexpensive bra and figure out how many cc that is. Try on the sizers at the ps office, discuss your expectations, and your realisitc skin/body ability. Like Anne said, work backwards. That is a really good idea.

Seems the overall conclusion is to work backwards. I 'll do the rice test and try this with some bra's.
Padded bra's are normal for me though... |

Our stats are similar. I just wanted to add it also depends on deflated (stretched from breastfeeding or weight fluctuation) or not, overs to unders, and breast tissue. Most likely if you want to be in the DD range you'll probably be looking at 400-500. Just a guesstimate.

im 5ft 6, 135 lbs and was wearing a 34 b before surgery. went to my ps - who said my comfortable bra size would be 36 c. I had 460 right and 410 left (cc's) and it has taken me to a 34e (as 34 for me in the most supportive bandwidth).
I recommend going to your consult...when they ask what size you want to be...be cheeky and say 'whats the biggest i can have'. A good ps will tell you honestly the biggest size they can give you and try on the sizers. my ps put my sizers in, i stood in front of the mirror - cupped the underneath of the sizers and jumped - to check my bounce. even the rice test didnt work that well for me. my way was taking in a picture and asking the surgeon the max he ould put in me - then working down through a few sizes tiill i decided....'im a greedy girl...give me the most i can get' lol AND.I.LOVE.THEM! good luck....dont stress too much...and another thing...once you have agreed with your ps and are happy with the size dont do too much research. as i researched types of implants etc after and it just confused me...when at the end of the day - my ps does 1000's of these....he knows. and so will yours good luck hun x |
