Many doctors will have different opinions on size. Some are willing to give you a larger look if you want it, while others are very conservative and live by the whole "good things come in small packages" motto.

It mostly depends on your breast width diameter, the size of your chest, distance between breasts etc... the PS will obviously have measured all this for you. But judging by your stats, I don't think 450-550 would be a problem... I've seen way smaller girls with implants even bigger than that on their first surgery. Maybe he's just really modest?

If you're in doubt, get a 3rd opinion (I consulted with like 4 surgeons to get a good idea of what I could do)... or just ask them WHY they think you should go smaller or bigger... that way you'd have a better idea of what they could do for you and their reasons for picking the size.

The first PS I saw told me I should only stick to the 200-250 range.... YEA RIGHT. The other 3 said I could go as big as 410 if I wanted, which is exactly what I'm gonna do. Good luck!

We have similar stats right?
I think that your body can handle those cc's with the right profile. I think that some PS are more conservative than others because they are scared of the patient getting complications...
I will suggest for you to keep on going on consultations.
Good luck!

The first two PS I met with told me 320-350 ccs.
The surgeon I met with today told me 350 ccs, increasing in size as needed using adjustable implants, and he's willing to go as high as 400 ccs...MAYBE. It depends. He doesn't want to "damage" my tissues by making them really large really fast, plus there is a size difference, so he can "customize" them, and slowly fill them after implanting them.
I think I'm smaller than you, right? If so, then you can probably handle more than 375 ccs.
Good luck in choosing!

I think this just proves yet again that no two PS's think the same!!! Bra, no bra. Wire, no wire. Massage, no massage... and now they can't agreee on sizing either!!! Have you tried the rice test? I tried it with the maximum my PS offered me and they were enormous!!! So we went with a smaller size. Maybe try a few sizes and see which one brings you up to what you want, then go back and discuss it with the PS... or try as HB said and get a 3rd opinion....

that happened to me too, one surgeon said i could have 420cc, but no more than 440cc... and my ps first suggested 290cc and i told him the last surgeon recommended 420cc. he laughed and said i would look ridiculous.

i kept telling him i wanted bigger and in the end i had 2 decide out of 365 385 and 405. i do like my size but i still wish they were bigger. no way would of over 400cc looked silly on me. still take your ps advice but go with what size you want.

JACQELINERT will become famous soon enough
IMO I would not choose a PS who discusses size with me by using loaded words like "insane." I would feel he was trying to influence my size choice by appealing to my emotions, instead of giving me facts so I can make my own decision.

I would also not use a PS who talked in such vague, subjective terms. "Your little body can't take that" is an INCREDIBLY vague comment. It could mean all kinds of things. For example, what part of your body is he saying is too "little" to take that size implant? Does he mean your height? Weight? Breast base width? Ribcage width? And what does he mean by "can't take"? Does he mean "that size would look too big on you"? Or does he mean "that size would cause cosmetic problems -- a fake look, or rippling, or sagging --"? Or does he mean "that size would cause medical complications like bottoming out or symmatia"?

Before choosing a size, I would want to understand the full range of my options. So I would ask for hard facts, not opinions, and when he gives his opinion, I would ask what he's basing it on:

1. "What is the biggest implant my body could safely take from a medical point of view?" "What are you basing that on?"

2. " "What is the biggest implant I could take and still have a good chance of getting a flat upper pole" (assuming you want that "natural" look).

I suspect a lot of PSs, at least outside certain metro areas, don't want to be seen as influencing girls to go bigger than a small C, because that would give them a "bad" reputation, whereas influencing girls to go too small just makes them seem conservative. It's almost as if the PSs are shy or embarrassed to be labelled as pushing women to have big breasts. They seem to go through a little dance to influence you to go in the 275-325 ccs range.

For example, the first PS I saw offered me 300 cc sizers, and then 325 cc sizers. The assistant made a big deal of whether I wanted to go with a "modest" size of 300 or "big" to 325. Since I had not found the forum I literally thought 325 was the biggest size LOL! But I really couldn't see any difference between the two. I later learned it's like two tablespoonfuls!

The second PS did a similar thing. He looked me over, "hmmmm," he said thoughtfully. Then, as if he'd had a sudden "aha," he said 'You, know, I think you could even take 300s!" Then the assistant brought out a case with sizers, and offered me a choice of 275 or 300. I told her I could not see a difference but I would prefer the bigger one. Then the PS came in and said, "I hear you want to go with 300s. I agree, I think that's a good choice." I dunno, I felt kind of manipulated somehow.

I didn't talk ccs with the third PS, but he showed me BA photos. Most were B cups. One woman looked like she had C cups. I didn't say anything, but he blurted out, as if embarrassed, "I didn't want her to go that big, but she insisted."

The fourth PS, who I chose, didn't talk ccs, but just asked what cup size I wanted to be. I said a full B oir small C.

Then I found this forum, so at my pre-op, I told him I wanted a baby D, brought in pics, and wore a stuffed bra to give him the visuals. And I asked him what was the biggest implant I could get.

He said the implant size was limited by my breast base width and nothing else. We agreed on an HP implant that could take betweeen 375 and 450 cc. He said that would get me to a baby D, plus or minus a half-cup size. He ended up giving me 405L and 430R.

BTW, all four PSs I saw recommended HPs for me, because they say women tend to be very happy with the projection they give, and because I have a relatively narrow breast base width (12 cm).
