Picked my size...650 mod+...OMG...

I had my pre-op consult yesterday to discuss size with my plastic surgeon. He had recommended 650 mod+ unders at my first consult, based upon my measurements (35 ribcage; 16-17 bwd). The "650" number really kind of freaked me out...so we had another meet yesterday to discuss and look at more pictures. He really things that I can easily handle the 650 (Mentor, 15.4 cm diamter), if I want cleavage and boobs that go to the outside of my ribcage (not even really a lot of side boob...just even with my side, basically).

Anyway, after talking quite a bit and having him reassure me that I'm not going to look ridiculously big, that I can definitely fit the size he's recommending, etc., I decided to trust his considerable judgment and experience and go with the 650s. I'm still nervous, but going to cross my fingers and trust him. Gulp. T-minus 3 weeks to new and improved....

Girl, I think we're on the same train!!!!

I know exactly how you feel! I'm a little smaller. My width is 15 and I want to be a DD so doc suggested 500cc......I had another consult where I was suggested 375 to get me to a DD....I'm going with the doc who suggested 500cc but am very nervous. I did go back and talk to him again, and it was comforting because he AGAIN explained why and how they would work on me....but I'm still very unsure about the whole thing.

Are you getting a lift? I am. Benelli.

Soooo......I think that he is pretty accurate on his suggestion for you. You have a wider rib cage and a very wide breast width...so before he can build up (give you cleavage) he needs to have a wide enough implant to start with.....and keep in mind that the wider the implant, it prob wont look as big as lets say a narrower implant but with same amount of cc's. So just trust him and tell him the same thing that I told my surgeon....I said that when I'm on the table and if he even for a second thinks that I'm looking bigger than what we've discussed, to put a smaller implant in....

Hey there! Thanks for the response. We do sound like we have similar stories on the size front of things! We are close in surgery dates too - mine is set for Nov. 24. Hopefully we both wake up with the results we are hoping for!! GL -- I'll be watching for your updates.

Your plastic surgeon recommended HP most likely due to your ribcage being small. If you feel if they will be small in diameter see if you can go for a Mod +. HP are very nice too. I know several girls here who have HP's like Excited she looks fabulous and gorgeous. I believe she has HP 735. She is petite.

Hey there! My BA is 11/24. Your BWD is a bit narrower, so the HPs might actually be a better option for you.
