i have read that a lot of ladies in here suggested to go with the bigger size even if it's not much different with the 2 options. For example, i have 2 choices 272cc or 290cc. everyone on here would agree to get 290cc even, the 2 sizes wont make any different.) so my question is, if it's not much different then why not pick the smaller implant to reduce 5% of the risk of rippling and complications????(that was the reason why my doctor suggested the smaller one between the 2) i know beside boobs greed, any logical answer to why we should pick the bigger one, instead of smaller? is it worth the risk of complications to go bigger? any support on going with smaller implant to reduce your risks of rippling and complications? |

![]() | My thoughts on the issue... The best advice I've heard is to decide if you are the girl who will be upset if she went too big, or the girl who will be upset that she went too small. I am one of the rare ones who would be upset if I went too big... As for complications, for me...it's between the 250 and 275. Honestly, I can't see where a 25 cc difference is going to really up the complications rate. It seems like it would take more cc's to create a noticeable change in the risk. Both implants would fit my BDW and both would have risks with rippling, etc. If there was an extensive chance of complications, it seems a reputable doc would not even implant that size implant under those conditions. And even if the difference is big, and the risks go up, some women are willing to take the change. And for many, it's been a great choice. Even staying small, going under, all the things that lower the risk can't eliminate it. Women do all of those things and still get complications! That all being said, I think I'm going with the 250. It's a very personal choice!

Although it's not a big different but it does reduce 5% chance of getting ripple. i was told by my surgeon. Should it be something we should take in consideration? for me, i have 272cc and i can feel some ripple on the inside bottom right of my breast, what if i picked the 290cc, would of been worst? i wish my breast have more roundness and side boobs though, would the 290cc gave me that? if i didnt ask for my surgeon opinion i think i would of pick the 290cc, but i would of regret if i got more ripple. anyone has any opinion on this? | |

it's really a personal decision 18cc is not going to make a difference.

![]() | would 18cc be a different on small frame? i'm only 5'1 98lbs. i think it would make a little different for small implant (272cc), but it wont be a different for big implant like 500cc. any other opinion?

I'm one of those who were not going for too big, I got pretty much what I wanted, but I got a tad bit more than needed really! so Bigger is Not for everyone and I totally agree that with ''smaller everything, a few cc's can make a considerable difference''. Good Luck

Well considering that those are on the smaller side of implants, I don't think it'd make a difference. When I talked to my plastic surgeon about going larger by 50cc, he said I probably wouldn't notice much that's different. I am also a small girl. I think it would also depend on if you're going over or under the muscle. If you're going under I would go with the bigger size because you lose a little volume. Plus if you are really worried about rippling go under the muscle. Plus you have to keep in mind that all our bodies are different. I was reading the posts and I couldn't tell if you already had implants since you say you have some rippling already, but maybe that means you will still have some. Or who knows maybe the implants will even it out.
