Q re BWD and sizing charts -- did you stick to it??

Ok, so from what I've read, BWD should be a huge consideration when choosing implants and that PS should stick to w/in 1cm of patient's BWD.

I was wondering if everyone stuck to this or if you went bigger or smaller.

My BWD were measured as 10.6 and 11.4 (I am going to ask for a remeasure to double check) which limits me to a max of 350cc w/ the Natrelle HP style 20. I was considering Mod+, but the cc for my bwd is under 300cc (smaller than I want).

Has anyone experienced any problems from going outside of their bwd? Were your PS's sticklers for this?

Any help or experience would be vastly appreciated!

Thanks!

I haven't found a chart like that. And my PS never told me a max or minimum that I could go. I guess I should have asked. Where did you find that? I just noticed you're the same height as me but a LOT thinner. And I'm thin! That's beside the point. I have heard all doctors say the BWD is a huge factor. But your other stats are too. For example if you wear a 30" or 32" band, you'll get more out of the number of cc's than a 34 or 36" band would. I just got 300. I can tell you I'm thinking of a redo already a week out. I should have gone 350. I'm going to let things settle and pray 300 drops and fluffs A LOT- LOL But am prepared to get a redo. Some people even our height get great results from 300 and I'm praying I'm one of them but I know 350 would have been the better choice. I have to post some pics today so you see what I mean. I'm not small just not quite where I wanted to be. Ultimately communication with your doctor is key. All the best!

I just had my first consultation a few weeks ago and my PS said that my BWD was 13.2. He would not got go to much beyond that. When I went in I told him I wanted to go as "BIG" as I could. He originally said Natrelle HP style 20 silicone 500cc with a 13.0 width would be it. I pushed a little more up to a 550cc HP with a 13.5 width and he agreed, but that was it.

I too have read and been advised to stick close to the bwd. You don't want too look out of proportion or compromise tissue with an implant that does not "fit;" however, I am no expert. IMO, I would stick with my ps advise or pretty darn close. That's just me though. Best wishes

Have you looked at the Naterelle HP style 45? That implant has the smallest diameter. If I remember right a 400cc implant has a diameter of 11.2cm. So maybe your PS can work with that style implant to give you more ccs.

On the main site there is a page with the implant specs. It lists for the brand, style, and fill. It will give you the diameter and projection for each.

My PS had this chart with measurements and what implant would best suit me. I have BWD of 11-12. The implant i chose was 322cc cohesive gel textured Mod 12.5. She wouldnt go any larger than that. Actually she said no larger hat 355cc. But that looked crazy ridiculous on me.

My PS has said the same thing as the others. His nurse also made the comment that if you go bigger than your BWD, a lot more complications could occur ie. symmatisa, CC, bottoming out...etc. I have a 13cm BWD and my PS said he would not do anything bigger than 400CC with the mod+ profile.

I had a bwd of 13.? and I got a 700 cc hp implant on my first breast augmentation and i think the diameter was around 14... You can safely go 1cm over your bwd. I have link to a chart which shows the diameters of hps. I don't think theres too much you can do with mods unless you go under 300ccs.

http://www.***********.com/inforesou...ghsilicone.htm

I wanted mod + but my ps said I would be in like the 400-500 range if i went with that and thats not what i wanted. I dont think HP's are bad now that i have them in. FR me if you want to see pics

Thanks everyone!
I got the chart off of JBI - the very page that babyfromheaven posted!

My PS wants to use Natrelle HP style 20, so I'll look into 45. Thanks!

I was wondering about all this b/c my PS will stay w/in 1cm, but I have seen so many post about going much bigger, when they are quite petite.

Oh wow! I just checked out the Style 45 and that would allow me (he will go to a 11.4 bwd max) to go up to 460cc ! I think PS may not rec them for me though b/c after breast feeding I lost a lot of tissue and the write up says style 45 is better for those with 'adequate' soft tissue. It doesn't actually have a write up for 40 ?? Hm, I will bring that up for sure!

hm, 350 or 460?? Now I have something new to obsess about! ahhhhhhh

you can find those charts anywhere..i googled it..
i went to 2 consults and one uses natrelle and the other mentor..here are the links to those charts..

I had a BWD of 11 and 11.5 and the biggest I went was 375 HP (11 cm?). He said I am now 13 cm and I can go bigger if I wanted. But I think boobie greed has gone away and I am sooo happy with them right now. The fluff fairy FINALLY paid me a visit a few days ago and they look amazing. Ill post pics soon. Good luck with sizing!!

I remember reading on one of those chart explanations a long time ago.. mod+ for patients with a narrow chest regular height, and High Profile for patients with a narrow chest who are also tall. I Know this doesnt always apply.
