Exclamation capsular contracture

is this something that happens to alot of people? if this was the only reason i didnt want to go overs should i still do unders? i am scared about the whole "distortion" look with unders i keep hearing about but i know with mammos and rippling under is better/. this is driving me nuts!

No kidding! decisions, decisions!!
I had no clue cc existed until this forum and I think that's crazy b/c from the sounds of it, it seems like it is fairly common! EEK.
I do feel better about getting unders b/c of this....but I heard it's more common with silicone too (?!?!)

CC is most common in the first few months after surgery, is more common with overs than unders but is not more common with silicone than saline or visa versa. You also have a higher risk of CC if you a smoker.
Different plastic surgeon's have varying opinions on how to prevent CC so make sure to ask your plastic surgeon. HTH

Talking

thanks. thats the only reason why i wouldnt get Overs... my plastic surgeon said that i could do either because i have enough breast tissue that if i went over my exsisting breast tissue would hide the ridges of the implant... but i keep hearing about cc and its really making me nervous..I guess i'll have to ask my plastic surgeon thanks so much!
