It's horrible that you are having to go through this. I'm thankful though that you have such a skilled and caring ps. God will help you through this time and like you said, I'm sure you'll walk away with something positive from this negative experience. We are here for you when you need us.
BTW, when you're down, maybe try thinking of ktbayb's avatar. It makes me giggle everytime I see it.

Christine, I am so sorry you are having to deal with this. Complications are the worst and you have already had your share of them. I hope you are feeling okay on the Levaquin. That stuff makes me so nauseous. I had to go through 2 rounds of it back in July when my body rejected my permanent circumareolar stitches. I do admire your strength. Even through all of this, you sound very strong. ((((HUGS))))

hi Christine,
Wow, you're an inspiration! Your post was just what I needed to read right now as I'm going through a hard time myself following an explant on Monday after a very unsuccessful BA on Saturday. Your words have given me a lot to think about. I'm feeling so much anger and impatience right now and here you are....I know you're having a rough time, I completely understand the "trying to get through the only way you know how" I'm doing the same. I can't believe how strong you are having gone through so much. I also admire you're courage. I'm speechless. Thanks for posting!! I wish you all the best and sincerely hope that your dreams come true and you get what you want. You really deserve it! |

I also had my implant removed....
Christine,
I am really sorry to hear you are going through this. I have also had similar experience and had my implant removed for about 8 weeks after a horrible infection that left my incision open, black, leaking and showing the old implant. I also had to wear one on my bra to compensate, and that really helped me as no one noticed anything. You are being strong and coping very well. I guess we have no choice. We all know there are risks with this procedure and we have to take it in the chin and deal with it. I found the experience to be horrible during the infection period but after the implant removal my body was healing and I felt a lot better. It was a matter of counting down to get the implant back again. The down side of it all was my reluctancy to undress infront of OH, although he never said it would be a problem, but it was for me. Also, I am a very sporty person, and with the infection, and healing and 3 ops I was out of the exercise regime for nearly 6 months, which made me put of weight and feel very cranky. However, when I got the implant in again, it was WONDERFUL!! Not only the recovery was really really easy (compared to the first time around) but I felt in love with my new figure.... TWO PERKY PRETTY BOOBIES all mine!!! You are going to love it!! I am still battling with my weight, and one of the scars is a lot more noticeable than the other, but hey!! it is all over and in the past. The whole thing was a massive emotional roller-coaster. I did wonder many times why me, and although this forum has been a god send and I can't thank enough how much support I got from the ladies here, I did reach a point in which I needed to step back and stop thinking/talking about boobs. Hence my absence from this forum for a while. However, as it is all over now, I am checking in from time to time. PM me if you like as I am happy to chat with you and share anything you want to know. Stay strong, positive and in no time you will be in my sit looking back to this nasty experience and feeling proud of your body like never before. Take care, and happy healing. Okara |

I can relate. I thought everything I was going through was bad. But I don't think as bad as what you're having to deal with.
I too have to wait for things to heal to go forward. Isn't that the worst waiting??? I'll do what I have to do; I'll suffer what I have to...so let's just get on with it. No. Need to wait for other things to heal. You are an inspiration. I'm sure everything will (eventually) be so wonderful for you. |

I'm so sorry for what is going on to you right now.
But remember, God loves you and he will be with you always. I heard so many cases that the girls that had the same problem were able to put the implant back in less than 3 months, depending on how the healing is going. Let's positive. You are going to be fine...It ll pass! We are here for you! |
