Can you bottom out after 6 months or so?

First of all - I don't think I'm bottoming out. But - it is my biggest concern because I have really thin skin and started out with no breast tissue whatsoever. I'm 4.5 months post-op and the past few days I have been noticing some twinges and one of my breasts has settled a bit lower than it was before. It doesn't look bad - in fact it looks better, because now my two breasts are in alignment - but it got me thinking about the possibility of bottoming out in the future.

I know that with CC you are never safe - It can happen at any time. But if you are going to bottom out, will it happen within the first couple months? Or can you bottom out far along down the road? Does anybody know?

I have this same concern. I went to my 3 month post op and asked my PS the same question (because I also enough going bra-less every now and again). He said that if they haven't gone anywhere yet, that I was good to go.
I thought I had read of women bottoming out after 3 months though- I hope not!

bottoming out can happen later on, that's usually due to the weight of the implant. My ps confirmed my bottoming out at around 5 months post op due to thin skin, starting out with little breast tissue and the weight of the implant. He said from the beginning that there was the chance of that happening due to the above reasons. If it happens shortly after surgery (within days or a few weeks)...then it's usually due to ps error...overdissecting the pocket. I wouldn't worry too much though....my ps said it doesn't happen very often, and repairs for it are usually very successful. So far i'm 9 months out from my bottoming out revision, and so far so good!

Vanessa, do you have to wear a bra all the time now? Did you always wear one before you bottomed out?

my ps wanted me to wear a good supportive underwire for about 4-6 months after my revision, but i've still been wearing one faithfully even 9 months out now....but that's just my own paranoia...lol I do wear some tops where wearing a bra is not suitable so i'll go without a bra occasionally.
I'm sure i would be fine without one now, and especially with bathing suit season coming up...i'll be wearing triangle tops suits and such so not really any support, but he said this far out, i should be fine.

I did wear one for about 8 months 24/7 before my revision.
