Hello everyone, I'm 10 days post op and have been having persistent back and neck soreness for the past 3 days. Im scared that the soreness is being caused by the heavy weight of my new breasts, considering I am fairly lightweight. Im 5'5" 110 lbs and got 400cc overfilled to 420 each high profile saline implants. I am healing up very well and experienced little to no pain during my recovery other than this very disturbing constant soreness in my back. I'd like to know if this is normal shortly after surgery and if its temporary? I hope I did not get too large of a size for my frame and am just suffering the consequences? My PS was sort of "against" big breasts but agreed that he would go up to 400.. I visited him a few days ago (before the neck and back soreness began) and he said that the size looks great on me. So maybe this is normal soon after BA? Any help is greatly appreciated. Im also considering taking some light pain meds? But i really want to get a general idea of whats happening based on everyones experiences. Thanks.

I am sure that your pain is being caused by having to sleep on your back mixed with your posture right now, which are both normal. The implants you have only weigh 1.78 lbs together. Not enough to really cause the problems you are experiencing. It is absolutely normal to walk around with your shoulders and back hunched, even though you may not notice doing so. Pay attention to how how are standing or sitting. I am sure you will feel better in no time. ~Shelly~

Hello hun,
i had bad neck pain too and was told it is because other muscles are over compensating for the chest muscles it has completly gone now, only lasted about a week so i wouldnt worry too much. Also great advice on the posture issue just try and stand and sit in a strait position and it should help |

Don't worry ! I had horrrrible back and neck pain for around 3 weeks after the surgery. I think it was a mix of sleeping on my back and I wasn't used to the preassure and weight of my new boobs. Now I don't have any back pains anymore and my posture has gotten super better.

It is not due to the heaviness. You are over compensating for you breasts and the pain in them by slouching. I couldn't stand up straight for about a week and half to two weeks. My breasts were tight and sore and I just couldn't stand up right. Anyhow, if you have a DH/BF get them to rub where it hurts for a few minutes, it does WONDERS! It will get better, just remember to STAND UP STRAIGHT, good posture is always sexy....
