Did I bottom out???

I'm very sad. I had a revision surgery probably like 3-4 weeks ago and things just don't look any different than they did before. If anything I look worse!!! Basically, I have assymetrical boobs and one crease is at least 1 inch lower than the other. The nipples seem to be exactly even, but the crease is so much different! I'm worried that I either bottomed out with my leftie OR my rightie is just too high up...I don't know! When I went in for my revision surgery the doc said it was unrealistic to make my crease higher on the leftie but he could lower the rightie by doing a capsulotomy (capsule release). I don't understand why he couldn't make the leftie higher because I read about people bottoming out all the time and docs can fix it by lifting the creases and holding them in place with internal sutures. I'm very sad about the assymetry and I want it fixed but I don't have the money to keep throwing out for revisions (anesthesia etc). It was $1200 for my revision and now I want another one. I'm wondering if I should seek a second opinion. I thought my PS was one of the best and don't understand why my boobs look so different and he didn't even give me the option of lifting the leftie. I have posted pics below - do you think I've bottomed out????? I feel like crying...

You don't look like you've bottomed out at all. Look at your nipple - its right in the middle of your breast, where it should be. However, your left side crease is definitely lower than the right side. Was it like that before your BA? You might possibly need a lift on that side to even them out a bit. (Does your PS say why he doesn't consider a lift?) Here's tmy thinking - you don't want your nipples uneven, either. Move one side up and your nipple height could be off. I know we all want perfection, but sometimes, we just can't have it and have to settle and be happy with better than what we had. I'm sorry - I wish I could be more helpful. I DO think I would get a second opinion, if I were you. See if there is some way to get them at least closer to matching than they are now. Then start saving your money.....

Thanks Slinky. I hope I'm not bottoming out, but it's def. lower than the right. I don't know if it was like that before the BA...honestly I was so small that it was hard to tell. I don't think so though - I actually always thought I was pretty symmetrical. However, I do remember right before my BA my PS was drawing on me and taking pictures and commented that I was slightly assymetrical but not bad. Now, I feel like I'm majorly assymetrical. Yes, my nipples are pretty close to even, it's just that the crease on the left is SO MUCH lower than the right and it bothers me. I understand we can't have perfectly symmetrical boobs, but I feel like this is a big difference. The revision surgery that I had 3 weeks ago, the PS basically did a capsulotomy where he cut the capsule and removed the bottom part of it (capsule release). He was hoping with that procedure that the capsule would re-form into normal tissue rather than scar tissue, which was what it was before. However, he did mention that there was a chance my body could do the same thing and if that was the case, we would repeat the procedure. But, I don't see the point in doing the same procedure again if it didn't work the 1st time around. I mean, won't it just keep doing the same thing?

I don't know if it's a problem with one pocket being more dissected than the other or if it's a capsule issue with the right one. The left is soft and natural just like a real boob, but the right has a lot of hardness in the bottom region where he did the capsulotomy, and it's just more firm. Sigh, I don't know what to do, but I am very unhappy with this...

It sounds like we have a similar issue....when my PS did my BA, my original crease was too high, so he had to cut and do some manipulation to make the crease lower, in doing so, he placed the left implant lower than the right....well....NOW....the left implant is still lower and looks terrible...for 5 weeks I had been wearing this contraption type thing to keep the implant up and hope that the new crease would set....NOPE....so...I am going in for a second surgery where he is going to pinch and sew the bottom of the capsule together, thus holding that left implant up and in place, he is then going to create the new external crease. He has consulted with 8 other surgeons and they all confirmed this procedure should work and be successful.

Good luck to you....I know how depressing it is to go through all of this and not be pleased with the outcome. I am hoping that my end result is going to make me a satisfied customer.

I have the exact same problem and mine look exactly like yours!! My actual crease is actually higher on the right (lower) side. But the breast itself is lower, although the nipple are still exactly even. My PS even used a level!! He said the same thing as the previous poster pretty much. however, he said that we can't really control what happens to the rest of the breast when we "pinch" the bottom. Thus my nipple may end up looking longer, pointed downward, or stretched out. Personally as long as mine doesn't get worse I am going to leave it. Because at this point it kinda feels like playing with fire. But he said that if it gets any worse and it is definitely worth fixing. I think that mine is actually because when I breastfed that breast was always larger and fuller. therefore, the skin and tissue on that side is more prone to stretch.

My boobs weren't the same size when I started, so now one is bigger then the other. One just seems more full. But ya your is def. lower...
Go get as many opinions as you need, the more PS's you see the closer you may come to finding out what is really wrong. One opinion isn't enough because some PS's don't want to make the other one look bad so they won't say it's their fault. (atleast from my experience).
Go see a couple PS's in your area.
I went to a well respected PS as well and he ended up making a surgical error....go figure.
