Unhappy rippling :(

I am getting a bit annoyed recently.... over the last few weeks I have noticed more and more that I can feel the edge of my implants in the cleavage area and can even see them when I wear a push-up bra. Now last night I was lying on my side wearing a balcony bra and noticed that the boob touching the bed was rippled all over the top side of it (the cleavage area again).
When I pushed the implant up so it was stretching the skin the ripples dissapeared but when the implant was allowed to hang down towards the bed I had 3 or 4 dents in it
My partner said he would only notice it cos I keep pointing out all these problems but I wanted perfection and really don';t like how much I can see and feel them in the middle.

I am hoping someone else shares my pain or can offer advice.... I saw some women have re-dos cos of rippling and I hope that isn;t the case for me

I feel ya girl. i'm starting to get a bit of ripping too in my cleavage area. I get it when i'm wearing a push up bra or if i push my boobs up and together. I'm really annoyed by it and my bf tells me that they're fine and he doesn't even notice it.
but i'm pouting about it because for the price i paid I wanted them to be perfect!

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling sad. DId your PS say what the chances were of you rippling before your BA? I also noticed that you have silicones. Wasn't this suppose to be less of a risk if you have silicones? I sincerely hope things get better...<hugs>

textured silicone

If i read my info correctly, and someone correct me if i am wrong, textured silicone has more chance of rippling than smooth, i believe smooth silicone has very little chance of rippling, it can still happen, but it happens more with textured silicone I believe.

I am sorry that that is happening. I want perfection too, but my PS said he couldn't promise me that, he said bigger and better, but not perfect, but for the price, i want them to be! I hear you!

He said that there was more chance of rippling and feeling edges because I had no breast tissue to start with so it was literally just skin over the implant. I did not now that textyred have more chance of rippling..... that is majorly crap.... maybe once I rich lol i'll get em changed to smooth x

This site provides not only a forum but a huge amount of factual and statistical data.
Look under breast implant surger, and FAQ. It shows pictures of rippling, and who is most at risk. According to this site, textured implants have a higher rate of "traction rippling". Silicone has a lower occurence than saline. Even overfilled saline implants can ripple. Most rippling occurs when the body is in an awkward position, such as bending over etc. It is a risk with ba surgery. I am sorry this is happening for you. I know for some ladies it does disappear as the implants settle, so hopefully thats the case with your issue. Hope things get better. I have very, very slight rippling when I lean forward on one side. It is not visable in a bra, or just straight on, so it doesnt bother me. I knew when I had BOTH of my ba's that this was a risk..
Wishing the best for you~~

I didn't know that but my PS did say it was more likely with me as I have overs and have no breast tissue covering the implant.
I guess I should stop criticising and enjoy them.... just gets me down

your message was informative and inspirational... thank you so much
I agree that it is only when I lie on my side with my boobs unsupported that I can see the rippling.... so really it's not the end of the world but horrid to see and feel either way
I'll have a look at the FAQ's and see if it offers me any relief....

Smooth implants can ripple too, it's just a different type of rippling. I think that the under the muscle placement can minimize the rippling on top, since there is more tissue covering the implant. I also have basically no breast tissue and I have visible rippling on the sides when I bend over quickly without a bra. Honestly... it bugs me. My husband has never said a word about it though - although he may have noticed, just not said anything because he knows I'm so sensitive about things like that.

It does suck. I'm not going to get a redo solely because of rippling, but if I ever have to get one for other reasons I will probably switch to silicone.

I am sorry you have rippling.. some girls just live with it, since they are happy to have bigger boobs now.. stay positive gf!!! and if it really bothers you, you can save up and get a re-do in the future.. I think your pics look fabulous though!!! You have such a great slim body AND you are tall!!! I'd kill for your body!!!

thanks for the support and lovely comments
I am feeling alot better today.... massaged them vigourously last night and am putting cream onto the skin daily.... I lay on my side to see if there was any improvement and the rippling didn't appear.... whooo hooo
So I am hoping it is not a permanent thing and that the skin will ease off the implant a little with gentle encouragment.

thanks again mwah x x x

glad it's not only me then

What type of implants do you have then? I am thinking that even with unders I would be able to feel the edges etc due to no tissue to start with... but hey... at least we have boobs now lol!!!

I have overfilled saline implants and have noticed rippling on the side near my armpits mostly on my right one and only if i'm bending over haha But i'm sure people won't notice it unless you say something so try not to worry! I understand though cuz it does bug me but as long as it's not noticeable then i'm ok with it..
