CC?

While massaging yesterday and today I noticed my right boob felt alot different than the left. It feels like there's more meat around it if ya know what I mean. It doesn't feel like the implant moves as much as it should while massaging. What could this be? CC? Or am i just being paranoid? I'm back at college so I can't go see my ps since he's 10+ hours away and I'm just worried

Hi there,

Even though you can't physically visit your ps due to your schedule, I'd still give him a call and let him know what you've noticed. He may want to put you on medicine, such as Accolate, or Vitamin E supplements (mine has me taking 1000IU 2x per day) or even have you massage more frequently.

There's also a video at womensplasticsurgery dot com that shows multiple massage techniques. Perhaps one of these might work better at breaking up your scar tissue.

Your breasts should be getting softer at 1 month post op, not harder. So, I think it's good that you've noticed this early and wise to take steps to keep them soft.

Definately call your PS and let him know what is going on. For me, when I was diagnosed with CC, it was ovious to me that when I was massaging the side with CC, it was harder and didnt move as much. If you can't see your PS, see if he can recommend someone in the area to see. It is always better to be safe!

Thanks Girls. I'm gonna go get some vitamin E as soon as I can (I'm not sure if stores will be open tomorrow because of Fay). I visited that website and tried those methods of messaging. I was only doing the squeezing, not the compression etc. It seems to have loosened up the implant a good bit so I'll keep doing that and try the vitamins. I've been working out, swimming, and tanning this week. Could that have maybe triggered it? Like could not wearing a supportive enough jog bra irritated it? Sorry these may be dumb questions! Thanks for your help.

UCF, I had my surgery in Celebration and my PS has an office in Altamonte. I can give you his info and maybe you can call to see if they would see you for a quick consult. It would probably cost some, but what is peace of mind worth?

That could be the first signs of cc. You need to keep massaging that side, and if it gets any worse, no matter how far you need to see your ps.
According to MY ps.. and I had bad cc..wearing or not wearing a bra or support has no effect on cc. Its your body building more scar tissue than what is needed. There are many different theories on what causes it, and different treatments. Just stay on top of it, and again, according to MY ps.. he feels massage is extremely important.
GL and hope this is just some slight scar tissue that you can break up yourself with massage!

Thanks Ladies! I've been massaging it like a SOB lol! It seems back on par with lefty and is moving well again. Thanks again for the website showing the other massage techniques it really helped. I'm gonna keep massaging. My ps only said to massage twice a day so thats what i've been doing, but on that site it said like 5 times a day. How often and for how long do you guys massage?
