I made a big mistake

I am so upset that I let my imagination take over the decisions in my 8th revisionional surgery. Might of been more< i have lost count. I just had my implants removed and replaced and my surgeon who is very nice said he could fix my symmastia. I am not sure it that is fixed yet because i am wearing a thong bra 24/7. I can still feel the pain in my breast and now I can feel the implant poking through my skin. I also was suppose to get a mastopexy on both sides but he only removed one nipple and positioned it higher. My breast still hang very low. I took a before picture of myself. the surgeon I don't think did. I had this done on 2-9-07 only one week. He used that doner skin in the midline and said it takes awhile for it to grow into tissue. The problem is i spent 12000 dollalrs on this and the photos that i took after look exactly the same. I should of not gone to a big implant. I even did what the surgeon wanted and got the becker 50 which was 4000. He was suppose to only fill them a little so that the repair could work better. I asked him about it when i went in and he said that that should not make a difference. Then why did i even have to get those? He filled them up to were i can feel the stress on my midline. My breast are very ugly and i dont feel like myself with them. I really wish that i would of went a normal size for me. I can only hope and pray that my surgeon wil be so open to remove and put small saline back in. Every time i go to a surgeon they all think that silicone is the best for me. I cant even tell a difference at this point in time. How do i tell my husband again that this will be he last time. Do you think the surgeon will help me. I don't think that he should fill the implants completely full when he is trying to repair the midline. I am sorry for this long post, I just cant tell anyone else including my husband. I have put my family through enough of my self mutilation.

I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. It also sounds like you are experiencing some post-op blues. Of course, after 8 surgeries you would like everything to be perfect. After I had my BA I noticed every little imperfection and I would get depressed, but then I started focusing on how much better I looked and started feeling better.

I really think it would help if you had someone to talk to and vent your frustrations. When you go back to your P.S. make sure you tell him all of your concerns.

During this time, make sure you take care of yourself! It's amazing how much better we feel when we get plenty of sleep and we are eating the right things. Try to stay positive and keep us updated.

This forum is great and full of understanding people who genuinely care!

If I were you, I would go to a different surgeon. If you've spent $12,000 and are STILL not fixed, it would be foolish to go BACK to him AGAIN. If you want to get fixed by a good symmastia repair ps, my advise would be to go to Dr. DeWire. He has done MANY of these repairs, and he is an expert at it. I know several girls that went to him for symmastia repair, and ALL of their repairs held up.

I'm really sorry that this is happening to you. HOw many ps's have you been to over the years for all of your surgeries? Is it the same ps? PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to someone that knows what they're doing (no offense).

I'm terribly sorry you are going through all this .... BA is supposed to result in an uplifting self confidence - not the exact opposite. Hope all works out for you ...
