It's Dr. Shamoun in Newport Beach. He's in my siggy and my siggy also lists what procedures were done to fix my complications. I'll PM you with some information he gave me when I consulted with him before my revision.

I would contact someone like Dr.Dewire who is super skilled in revisions. I am so sorry for everything your going through, I would not wish it upon anyone. Post Need expert revision Dr.

beckybee, I see that you went to Dr. Shamoun for a revision surgery. How long has it been since the surgery? And is anything coming back at all, like the bottoming out or CC?? Would you tell me a little bit more about him. I need a 4th revision. Bottoming out, CC, closed upper pocket, Double Bubble, etc. He looks good!

OMG, Im so sorry for you!! That is horrible! I cant believe a dr did all that to you!!! I definitely would not let him touch me again!! As sad as it may be, you need to find a very experienced and qualified surgeon who specializes in reconstructive surgery...it will cost you more money, but will be so worth it for you not to be ashamed and upset with your boobs!!!

Im sorry!!

It's been a year and 2 mos to the day! I had my revision surgery on 8/22/08. Neither complication has come back. The CC in my right breast has not come back at all (knock on wood, cross your fingers). The left did not bottom out again. I'm sure the internal sutures along with a lift helped prevent that.

With my first BA, I only had a crescent lift on the left breast, and I should have had a more significant lift because my left was a little bigger and much saggier, and I was asymmetrical. After my revision, I am much more symmetrical. If anything, now my right (which had the capsulectomy) hangs a little lower than my left (which had the internal sutures and lift) because the right doesn't have much scar tissue due to the capsulectomy. As you can see from my pics, my boobs were moving in totally opposite directions! I'm really happy with my results and Dr. Shamoun. I'll PM you the same info that I sent to 1C&C if that helps.

Hey hun I was reading your post and I totally understand what you're going thru. I'm so sorry that you're going thru all these complications. I know how sad and hard it is to deal with.

After my first BA 4 months ago and got CC at just 1 month.

After months of desperately trying to treat CC and lots of money spent on ultrasound I finally gave up and went to get a revision.

I thought that this nightmare would be over with once I got my revision but instead I have gotten even more depressed. I got seroma right after the revision and CC has come back already, just 2 weeks after my revision.

I've also got heaps of scars, some from the drains that were put in and some from blisters that I got from the medical tapes.

My plastic surgeon said that my body just rejects the implants and that the only thing he can do is take the implants out.. To think that they can't be fixed is so depressing..

Hun i wish you all the best and try to stay positive. I know its hard but in the end things will work out!

julz-same dr for all??

julz1618, have you gone to the same doctor for all your work?? If so, that's just his opinion! I have heard and read a few time, that the only real way to be sure CC doesnt come back, is to take the implant out for a few months or until it's healed, and then put it back in. Some doctors won't do it. I asked one doctor why not, and all he said was, "I don't do that, that just adds another operation" Well, it's better than 3 MORE operations, and NO BOOB! Look into it. I feel for all of you. I am going thru a hell of a time right now myself from the very beginning of last Sept,08, non-stop, and I have more problems, not less!

I went to consult with one surgeon today and one yesterday. This time I want to make sure its the right surgeon working on me. I still can't believe I let the dr. that messed me up do 3 surgerys on me. I just wanted a simple swap and I didn't think any Dr. would ever do what he has done to me, sorry, I am still so upset. If anyone thinks he is a good Dr., I would be shocked because I would vote him as the worlds worst! I wish I could say who he is, but I am new to this chat/forum thing and I still not sure what I can say. Do you have any Idea what it means when someone wants to be your friend on this forum? What does it involve beyond just PM? Back to the Drs. One I saw told me that what the "bad" Dr did was totally disect my skin off my chest and when he tried to reattach it by sewing bolsters on to my chest, he attached the skin to the wrong place resulting in wierd ugly webbing between my breasts among all the other problems he caused. He said it is so bazar and he has never seen anything like it, except on burn patients. He wondered why on earth any Dr would do such a thing. Lucky Me, I wish I could turn back time and change everything! I really liked this Dr.I consulted with. He spoke honestly and direct, but with compassion, he may be my guy. And he knows how to use Alloderm. Hang in there, I feel bad for you and every girl that is going through this crap. I wonder if the surgeons know how agonizing this all is for us. Sorry I am venting again, I guess it helps talking about it.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this. i can honestly say that I understand how you are feeling. I have been through 3 surgeries in less than 3 years. Twice with the same surgeon who messed up my boobs big time. He made incision scars that were about four inches long and almost two inches above the breast crease. These scars can never be hidden in the breast crease. He overdissected my pectoral muscles so I had synmastia where I had no space between my breasts. I had muscle deformity whenever I flexed. The left breast had a double fold where the crease was. My breasts looked severely deformed. He said to give it time after the first surgery but it just got worse. He performed a second surgery which did not alter the result much. It cost me more money and left me severely depressed. I consulted with surgeon after surgeon who were not comfortable with correcting another surgeon's work. In 2008, I had corrective surgery by another surgeon. Unfortunately, he was over cautious and downsized my implants by 100cc on each side so I have a huge space between my breasts and saggy boobs because of the small implants. The scars are just as bad as he did not raise my creases to hide the scars more, even though he went so much smaller which is what I thought he would have done. So after spending a whole lot of money to have nice boobs, I am more depressed than ever. I don't know if it is safe to have a 4th surgery as it could just result it more problems according to my last surgeon. I really feel your pain and I can only say that not all surgeons are created equal! If only we were one of the many lucky ones that have one surgery and it is perfect!
Take care and I hope you find the best surgeon to help you.

Thanks hun, i'll definitely think about that.
I just don't know if I'm strong enough to deal with living with 1 implant for a while. I know it sounds vain but i just cant imagine having 1 flat boob..

Yes i had the same dr do both my surgeries.
I know I probably could find another plastic surgeon to do a capsulectomy but right now I just don't have the money
If i do get a capsulectomy I'll probably wait at least 6 months so that my body completely heals and hopefully that way CC won't come back.

Thank you for your story, I am sorry you are dealing with this too. Are you still trying to find a surgeon to fix? I have tried to talk myself into just accepting what I have, but then I undress and the frustration comes back. Constantly covering up when you have an otherwise healthy good body is very depressing. I wish you the best. Lets not give up on getting those "good boobs." Where is AKLD?

Unhappy Sympathy of All of you.

I am going thru what all of you are going thru. Pure heXX!!! I would love to just hold off, but I have these buldges from my implant sticking out of my 3inch space cleavage area (!) which prevents me from wearing any low cut items,

AND, I have a closed upper pocket in the same breast (along w/CC and tragic scar & whole! Bottoming out and double bubble on other breast!)

And the closed pocket makes me feel self-counsious wearing round neck tops that show the very top of my upper pole, one part shows the other doesnt. So I could have just stuck with padded bra's, they were cheaper than two frigin full priced surgeries in a years time. And this revision is going to be a lot! I've talked to at least 15 surgeons.

So with these problems and the CC which is at stage 3, I sorta need to do some surgery. Do you think?? I am really going nuts, seriously!

But I would highly suggest that if nothing shows outside a bra, and you can show your upper pole or cleavage, don't do any more surgery for awhile at least! I wish I was in that predicament, because I sacfificed the money on the first surgery! How the heck am I gonna come up with this money!!! Serious Sympathy to all of you, mprs

I just want to say thank you to you gals for sharing your stories. It's not easy to do that. One of the women who really helped me through my complications while on this site isn't here anymore but I'll never forget her. She gave me sincere, honest and objective feedback. After talking to her, I knew that what I was sensing was correct and that my decision on how to proceed was as good as it could be. I didn't feel so alone anymore either. I also understand the issue of financial loss due to this. This is probably the one thing that is hard to get over and hard to forget!

I also say second opinions and more second opinions if necessary. Another thing to do is to share your financial strain with a revision specialist. You never know if they might give you a discount realizing that you've been through a hell of a lot and can't go back to your first plastic surgeon. It could be scary to ask, but it's worth a try.

Unhappy It doesnt seem fair.

May I ask what happened to your girlfriend, beckybee? I'm almost afraid to ask. I not only have a gut feeling not to go back to my orig. PA, I have a lot of definite evidence and circumstances, was mislead, misguided, and medically mis-treated. I will try to get some kind of discount from another surgeon if I can. ( although I think quite the opposite is true, they know how much you really need them, and hike the prices UP.) I am looking into my insurance company for just the capsular contracture part of the operation, but it looks slim to none.

I just got done packing the things I am going to have to take back to the mall, the only new things I got for the fall: a pair of boots, jeans, a pair of shoes, and a pair of leggings. They are all going back and I'll be wearing everything from prior years.

If I had the extra money I would have paid the $1,000 to get my tooth crown fixed, but I have to wait until next year. I have 4 crowns to be done, and my insurance company only allows $1,000 a year, so I have to do only one per year. My smile shows a black tooth on the side top, and I would surely have had that fixed!

And we just got our kitchen done. I waited 30 yrs. and the cabinets were actually falling apart, so we had to take a second mortgage out, and am paying for that! I really wish we we not so financially strapped, I wouldnt feel so helpless. Thanks for listening. I wish this was a bad dream!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I, too, have had three BA's and my original problem is still here (db) ..sigh. I'm waiting till the six month mark after my third BA to make any decisions. I know about lawyers and doctors...especially plastic surgeons. I had a horrible mishap with my nose job and it was all my ex plastic surgeons fault...I actually almost died from the infection of the implant he put in my nose. After I healed I went to a lawyer about suing and he wouldn't take the case. He said the same thing about how doctors are the hardest to get money out of for malpractice...unless you are disabled from it. The more disabled you are...the easier it is to sue, obviously. Also lawyers do not make any money unless there is a disabled issue so they don't want to bother.

To all: I'd advise to not go back to your original plastic surgeon if he hasn't fixed your problem in one try, or messed you up more when going in to fix a problem!!!!!!!! I'm NOT! I'm finding the best this time! I don't have the money, I'm sacrficing from our retirement fund, just like I did last year, but I don't have much of a choice. It just isnt fair!

Hi!! I was reading your post about how you've been through BAs... I'm a college student in the University of Puerto Rico trying to write a report that compares silicone and saline filled breast implants to determine which is best for breast augmentation procedures. I haven't been through the process...so I was wondering if you could help me... how?

This is what I need to do: I need to find 10 ladies that have been through breast augmentation procedure... and present 10 questionnaires with questions like: when did you get breast implants? what type? any complications? IT IS COMPLETELY ANNONYMOUS, YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE ANY PERSONAL DETAILS (ADRRESS, TELEPHONE, NAME... WON'T BE ASKED FOR) Since you've been through it you could fill out one ... ??? Please let me know if you could help me... ;-) If you are, please send me a private message! ;-)

THANKS!!

P.S.I could even send it through your personal e-mail, or something.. to make it more private..
