Hi ladies,

I've not been on here for a while but soething has bought me back for your help.
3 days ago i woke with a pain in my armpit, almost like i'd pulled something and it got worse through the day. I went to the doctor who said there seems to be 2 lumps under there and wants me to have an ultrasound which i will have hopefully this week.
Yesterday when i woke up my whole armpit area was tender and this morning the right side of my right breast is also sore.

do any of you think this could be to do with the implants? does this sound familiar to anyone. i'm worried it could be something serious as my doctor was quite concerned and wanted the nurse to call him with the results as soon a they are in even though he is on holidays for the next 2 weeks

getting really worried.

I have no idea but I am glad your Dr is on top of it and getting you a ultrasound keep us informed and sending you a Big Hug I sure hope all is OK your way lets hope its nothing

I also have no clue. Try to relax as best as possible till you hear back from your plastic surgeon. Keep yourself busy. Leave it alone - ignore it. I have had 2 complications with my surgeries & it will drive you crazy by worrying. That is all I can suggest. Best of Luck (((HUGS)))

It could be to do with your implant...when my ruptured, at first it just changed into a weird shape but then in certain movements I had a burning sensation stemming from the breast up into the armpit...any type of stretching made it worse. When my doc when in to fix the rupture it ended up both were ruptured but I had no symptoms at all in the other breast. Weird. Although yours might not have anything to do with a rupture...

It may have something to do with your lymph nodes in your arm pit. They swell and become tender when you have a virus or infection. I have had mine swell to the point that I couldn't wear a bra or move my arms well. I was a teenager and had a very bad sinus infection that worked its way into my lungs.

Prior to my BA I had cat scratch fever for real... I had a big lump in my arm pit.. Felt like I had an egg in my arm pit. Ugggg... Soo I understand your concerns honey.. Seriously have you been around a cat and been scratched that is for real what happened to me doll..

The lymph nodes are probably causing your issue. I've had this quite a few times....the Dr. will tell you to take some antibiotics and be cautious, that's it. Mostly, nothing to worry about.

If its the same as what i get then its nothing to worry about - a dose of anti-bs will fix it if super servere. I get that when i'm really run down and sometimes can be triggered off from shaving. I have a girlf who is exactly the same - hers gets worse when its humid and she shaves her armpits. Def go to the docs - but don't stress as its an easy fix xx

thanks for all the replys and well wishes. I have 3 cats but have not been scratched in a long time. I feel perfectly well everywhere else. I am using a heat pack under my arm now and i have a red area under the skin starting on the side of my right breast. the lump is almost 2 times the size it was when i posted this thismorning

I try not to worry but i cant even put my arm down properly so it's hard to forget about it. I'm starting to get shooting pain from my underarm down to my elbow which the only way to describe is to say my bone hurts, wierd.
Oh well i will try to relax and wait to see when i can get in for the ultrasound.

I really wouldn't put heat on it! It's already swelling and putting heat on will likely increase the inflammation. If anything, ice would be better. If it's already twice the size as before, you need to call your plastic surgeon back right away-- it's getting worse too fast to wait around. At the very least, he can call in a prescription for some antibiotics for you to start.

so i went to have an ultrasound today. they dont think it has anything to do with the implant. I have 4 lumps sweeling in my Lymph nodes and apparently they are enlarges on my left side too although i cant feel any pain there. I started putting a cold pack on it so that might help. Going back to doc tonight to get ultrasound pics looked at but sonographer thinks my body is fighting a bad infection somewhere and i'm just not showing any other symptoms so with any luck a good dose of antibiotics should clear it all up.
