I noticed about a week ago that on my left side if I push lightly (or not so lightly) on the bottom part of my boob I can feel the implant in on spot. It feels a little hard and I can push it inwards. It just seem a bit strange cos you'd think after all this time the implant would be full on the bottom and it would be firm, rather than kind of 'empty' feeling. It's not really noticeable by looking, only really by touching. Is this normal? If I had saline I would suspect a possible rupture, but I have the silicone ones that hold their shape even when cut. Plus my boob is still the same size as it should be. I have unders, if that makes any difference. I guess I'm wondering if it's normal to feel what seems like the edge of the implant? Also... The spot where I can feel it is sort of in line with where my scar finishes, and goes about an inch more towards the inside of my chest. Could it be some scarring or some skin from where it was stitched up? Or does that not make any sense? |

Unfortunately, this is completely normal. Be glad you can just feel it and not see it. Think of this as one of the trade offs for bigger boobies. |

![]() | Cake I could feel mine too around 4 to 6 months then it just went away... When do you see your plastic surgeon again. You could also bring it to their attention okay... |

This is totally normal, even if you have silicone. My plastic surgeon told me that you will always be able to feel the edge of the implant somewhere, if you know what to feel for. I would not worry - in a few weeks you will totally forget it is there.

I have the exact same thing going on on the same side! The left boob kind of folds at the end of the scar and has always been more sensitive. I thought it was a mishap from the procedure...At least it's not visible. I do a lot of massaging hoping it will go away. I am almost 4 weeks post-op.

Phew! What a relief! I am seeing my plastic surgeon next at the beginning of January. At that time we're going to decide if my other side is still sitting too high or not. My plastic surgeon has me pushing down on it every day... I am totally glad to hear this is all normal. Thanks heaps girls. Now I can relax and keep enjoying them! |

I had my first BA implants for 14 years and I could always feel the outer edge. I just thought it had to do with me not having much natural breast tissue, so it seemed like a logical thing to happen.
