Those who have had complications

For the ladies who have had complications i have a question. Looking back, is there anything that you wish you had done differently which could have possibly helped avoid your complication or is it an error made by your ps or just something that happened? Thank you ladies in advance

I think mine stemmed from his compression exercises. Caused the skin to stretch too much and caused the double bubble.I also think he suitured the skin to the muscle which caused attachment. Now the track marks were purely surgeon. I wish i would have had a different 1st surgeon.

I may have overdid it on the first day... I would have kept my arms firmly attached to my side for at least three days.

No one really knows for sure what causes CC did I over do it at first maybe since I got cc in my right at week 4 I do wonder, is it caused by infection?? who knows I have read over and over again about cc. But of course that boob is ok now but I have bottomed out on my left and I think my tissue was this too week for the implant.

I bottomed out with in 4 weeks so sometimes I'd like to think if I picked a better surgeon maybe that would not have happened.. I think alot of my issues was the fact they my surgeon and I wanted to avoid a lift due to scars jeez no one wants scars... With that said I would have researched lifts more and maybe I would not be going into my 3rd surgery just to get a normal result!!!!

I would have worn a sports bra 24/7 although it was my PS who told me to stop wearing one since I was having pain.
But my right boob has from day one looked a bit different as in somewhat smaller and the areola was slightly mishapened and that is the one that bottomed out. I wonder if it was bottoming from the begining.

What do you mean when you say "I wouldn't be as active..."? Did you start working out too soon? The reason I ask is I'm 9 days out and I'm back in the gym. I'm doing any weight training but I am doing cardio and stretching to include my chest.

I would have worn underwire bras 24/7 after my first revision, because as it were, I bottomed out worse after the revision than I was before. I also wouldn't have resumed lifting weights at 4 weeks post my initial surgery... I would have waited 2-3 months.

I have to agree with all you girls that said not to overdue it, to not start your normal activity too soon. Remember that you just had major surgery, and although you are very (Mentally) happy and raring to go since you have nice new wonderful boobs, and want to go to the mall and to Victoria's Secret and buy some sexy bras, I would wait! My surgeon said, 'Oh, do whatever you want, just as long as you don't put your hands over your head or stretch your arms above your head". So I did exactly what he said. But I did all my normal activities, including blowing out my naturally long (CURLY!) hair straight the very next morning, and that takes strength! BUT I JUST DIDNT put my hands over my head!

I think these doctors just have this attitude that "Oh, this is such a short recovery girls, you don't have to worry about a thing,Bla,Bla,Bla", but saying that to us makes us feel as if we CAN do just about anything, so we do! (WHO THE HECK ELSE IS GOING TO DO IT, LOL!!!!!!). But I think they should NOT tell us that. I think we need to take time for the surrounding new pockets to heal correctly and in their place..
The house and other stuff will still be there in a month. I say take it easier!

That should have read I'm not doing any weight training, just cardio and stretching. My doc is the one who told me he wanted me up and about as soon as possible. He said light cardio the first 2 weeks then you can slowly increaase the intensity but no upper body weight training for at least 6 weeks. He also told me the clasp my hands behind my back and pull down on them opening up my chest and stretching the muscle. He then said to clasp my hands above my head to stretch the muscle that way also.
