Restrictions for lifting post-op?

SOOO my plastic surgeon has informed me that I am not to lift anything over 10lbs for 3-4 weeks but this is impossible! How important is this restriction? I have an 11 month old that weighs 20lbs and I am going to have to lift him before then. The first week I am set - my husband and in laws will be here so that is NO problem! The second week is going to be iffy cause my husband has to go back to work and my in laws may not be able to stay so I will be home alone with the 2 kiddos which obviously means i will need to lift the little one for naps and feedings and the third week I will be back at work so I will have to carry my son into school and back out in the afternoons....

What should I do? Will this be OK? Do I need to try to figure something else out?

TIA

I just went in for my 6 weeks and although everything looks good he said I need to be able to move my implant all the way till it touches my collorbone....I can only get it about an inch or two away from it. I could not help myself but kept cussing right in his face as he forced it up there....it hurt SO bad. I have been moving them religiously but I guess not far enough. He said it will help my breasts feel softer. They don't feel hard but not natural soft yet. I REALLY hope it will stop being so painful and I hope I can get over the fear of popping them!!!

Basically they said anything that feels good I can do (ice, massage, compression...) I was so excited, I shed the sports bra immediately... yea, i regretted that last night! :rotfl:

I put the sports bra back on and now I have on a pretty tight tank top on over that (it was tight pre-BA). Its pretty tight compression and I *think* its helping... i can't tell... :wideeyed:

Does anyone know if pressure is a good thing???

Thanks!

Well it's been one month post op for me and as hard as I am trying to be patient and learn to love this new size I have to say that so far I am not.

I feel like everyone is looking at the size of my chest. I decided to have implants in the first place to be more confident with myself and in the beginning (with the smaller size) I was extremely HAPPY Unfortunetly I had a complication of "bottoming out" and with the redo decided to go a bit larger

Well this "bit" seems to be a bit too much. Now that the pocket is healed and internal stitches have been put in the complication seems to be solved.

But with that and the new size gone is my confidence.
I am so confused on what to do
On the one hand the easy solution is to keep what I have and learn to love them. (DH sure does)

But I am SOOO self conscience now

HELP????

Hey ladies! So my plastic surgeon mentioned to me that he does not encourage post-op massaging, but does have you wear the band to bring the girls down. I'm a LITTLE concerned because it seems like everywhere I look, everyone is talking about the importance of massaging to get the girls to drop and avoid CC. My plastic surgeon says there is just no need to massage. Anyone else have their plastic surgeon tell them this? Not sure if I should just massage anyway??? Help! I really don't want to end up with a CC, but am afraid to do anything that is against what my plastic surgeon suggests... :err:

I am softer than the beginning, but if I hug someone or lay down, I still feel like I have softballs in there. I even started with a fair amount of tissue. Please tell me they get more natural? Is this a saline issue? Did I make a mistake with Saline? I was really hoping they would feel somewhat natural, these dont.
BTW, they dont hurt in any way, so I guess thats good.

Just a quick note to follow up on everyone's less than stellar fittings at Victoria's Secret. I was an employee there one summer several years ago and even though I fit women for bras (we were required to wear those terrible pink measuring tapes around our necks to remind people to ask us), I never had more than a 30 second training on how to fit properly. I even asked a question about how it could be a true sizing if we were measuring over people's clothing and the bra they were wearing. I was told that it just works out correctly anyway. UM.... even if they have on a very padded bra and a sweater? That can't be right. Anyway, if you feel like they mismeasured you, maybe they did. Don't get upset about it or take their word as gospel. Try on some bras or go to another store for a second opinion.

I basically tripped down a couple of stairs and without thinking reached out with my left arm to break my fall and grab onto the railing. I knew it was a mistake as soon as I did it because I had major pain in my cleavage area towards the left boob. It's been sore all day and I'm icing now. I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow--do u think I did any damage?? Has something like this happened to anyone else? Thanks girls!!
