Hello,
I'm writing to inquire if by the looks of my before pic if I need a doughnut lift. My PS recommended it when I went in for my first consult and then at my pre-op said it wasn't necessary. Also, my first PS who I didn't go with said he would try to fit 300cc in me because I am so small and my chest is very narrow... Now my PS wants to go with 350 and might overfill them. I've stressed that I want to look proportionate and look natural (as natural as I can with implants). But I only want to go up to a C.

I'm currently 115 pounds, 32A and 5'3" tall.

Any suggestions?? Right now I'm scheduled for 350cc's with no lift but I think I want to go with 325cc HP saline slightly overfilled.

Thanks!!

My fear is bottoming out. It was suggested to me to have my surgeon use perma sutures/internal bra.

Is there anything else I should bring up to minimize possible complications? Is there a true difference between perma sutures or internal bra?

i had a breast augmentation/repair done on april 9, with a crease incision on the one side (that was the one that needed the repair), and a axillary incision on the other side. well, my ps has had me wear an underwire 24/7. and as of yesterday, i have had a lot or itching around the crease incision. now it is horrible, it kept me up at night. it is rashy and bumpy, but the incision itself looks clean. it is not warm to touch and the incision still appears closed. i have had to take the bra off today, since the irritation of the underwire rubbing the area is absolutely unbearable. the tape and sutures have been out since the 4/17. any thoughts/suggestions???

Hi Dr. Mele,

I was just diagnosed with CC at my 6 month post-op visit (4/13/12) on both breasts. My PS said it was CC because it wasn't "tear drop" shaped and didn't move easily in the pocket. My implants felt hard underneath my breast tissue (I had very little tissue to begin with but both breasts are symmetrical and rounded looking but not distorted). I had saline over-filled 240cc filled to 270 mod+ implants.

I started aggressive massage (4x a day 10 min each breast) and vitamin E (but hadn't filled my Rx for Singulair). It seem that over the course of the weekend, it became very soft and squishy and started moving in the pockets more easily. I don't know if I was misdiagnosed as they were tight because I hadn't massaged in 4 months since my PS told me I didn't have to do anymore massaging after 2 months or maybe the capsule popped?

How do you really diagnose CC in a patient? I am also wondering if I should still take the Singulair, I just don't want to take anything I may not need.

Thanks so much!!!
