When can I work out my upper body?

I went to the gym yesterday and felt fine. I was doing cardio, a bit of legs, ect... then I went to work out my shoulders and felt a little weak and sore in the chest area. I am almost 2 months post op. Do you think it is too soon to be working out my upper body? Should I wait a little longer or just do different exercises. These last 2 months have felt like a year!!

What exercises did you do and when?

Thanks xoxo

Hey. My PS told me I can do lower body at 2 weeks post op and upper body at 1 month post-op. So I think you are good to go. I think your chest area was a bit sore because you use your chest muscles a bit when you work out the shoulders. Maybe use a lighter weight or wait a bit longer until you feel ready.

Thanks for your help! Maybe i'll tone down the shoulder excercises for awhile. I also heard that you shouldn't work out your chest again..EVER..is this true? I guess that you work out your chest indirectly anyways and it is one less excersise to worry about

I just had my revison a week ago. I had some CC removed and my implants switched out and he did open up my pockets just a little but he told me I could start doing weights again 2 weeks post op. I am really wondering though if I will be able to do that. He used my first incision whch was inframmary and I just have a feeling with that incision it is going to take a while for me to feel comfortable to get back to my normal workout.
