Canada..Silicone

I just read that Canada reversed their ban on silicone today. Anyone else hear about this?

Here's the link.

What the heck.... silicone was already allowed as far as I know, that's what I'm getting.... But I do know that they had to send in a special form to the government or whoever controls all that stuff to say that the patient had assymetry or something even if you didn't. Like you could get them without being a study (like in the states) but the PS had to fill out a form for it. Maybe they were all just doing it illegally? Or maybe they don't need to use a form anymore

Ps. At the bottom of the article, it said something about leaks... Wtf are they talking about, I thought the silicone gels CAN'T leak

yep, you got it HockeyBabe17

the patients had to simply submit the paper form. but w/o having to be under the study like we have to here in the US.

and the bottom part *is* just more silicone-negativity b.s.

That's very interesting, altho it's all kinda redundant since my PS says as far as she knows no one has ever been turned down for silicone under this Special Access Program...

Now that's interesting.

Even though most women were not turned down from the Special Access program, you still had to ask for it. From what I learned, while the program itself wasn't very strict, many PS were and wouldn't support a woman asking for them without good reasons.

Now however...

Well finally the government has stepped in the right direction and desided to not make another step that cost the tax payer needless money in admin cost.
