When do under crease scars go away?

I had my BA/BL Aug. 12th and was hoping by now the under crease scars wouldn't be so noticeable, but they are. They haven't changed appearance at all lately. When are you under crease scars not noticeable?

I had mine 8/31 and my scar is pretty light already and luckily they aren't wide... I guess everybody heals differently cause even with my c-section scar it healed fast an it's a light color.

Give it some more time though

i had mine on the 8/10 and they are very thin, but a little red now. They were white last week.I just keep the micropore tape on them almost all the time and rub cream into them when the tape is off
Good luck, but it will take time.

I don't think scars ever "go away". They will always be noticeable to some extent, depending on various factors such as genetics, skin type, incision care, etc. The scars from my first two ba's were always visible, darker in color and wide for years. This time they're very thin & very hard to see at 4 months post op.

Mine are still quite black and very noticeable. I thought by now they'd turn a lighter color. But I wasn't told to keep anything on them such as tape.

I want to say mine turned white 6 months after my revision. They don't fully disappear just turn a different color.

I had my BA done July 14th and my scars are thinner and white...still very visible. :/ I use Vitamin E on them and the silicone Scar Strips from CVS.

Thanks for posting this..I haven't had my ba yet, but will be getting crease because my areolas are too light/small...I am concerned about it healing..I have seen some that are barely noticeable and others that are..Everyone heals differently..You are still real early though so I am sure they will change, just try giving it some time..I would put something on them as others suggested...maybe silicone strips or scarguard...Good luck

The scars won't go away but they will eventually fade to white. My c-section scar took a year to completely fade.

I haven't rubbed anything on mine and they are almost invisible. My ba was aug 11. I think it just varies on the person.

I am 5 months PO and my scars are still very red. I use silicone strips on them and I can tell that they are getting a little bit better. I think mine are still so visible because my skin is on the paler side. Hoping that they fade to white soon!!

Just like some of the post stated, it takes time. My PS told me it could take up to a year for a scar to completely fade to what it will always look like. But there are some factors that make scars more visible.

If you are medium to dark skinned, they will show a lot more, and won't turn white. If anything they will get a bit lighter.

If you tan a lot, you should avoid it, or try to cover them as much as you can, if not the tanning will make them darker.

I have a very thin scar, and I am actually impressed, Ive had scars on my legs look worse. lol.... Its going to take time, and its just up to your body. Eventually it should start to be lighter and less noticeable. Good luck.

I too am almost 5 months Post Op... they are thin and starting to lighten up.. I haven't been faithful to the bio oil maderma or vit E but I dont really notice them unless I look for them... I am a pretty scarred up woman so they dont bother me lol
