The final countdown!

So, my surgery is at noon tomorrow. Had my pre-op today...was really nervous going in, but by the time I left I was actually a lot calmer. The employees at the hospital were very nice and helpful and took the time to put my mind at ease a bit over the whole being put under thing. I'm still nervous, just as I was today, but I hope its really no big deal like I've heard. I still plan on telling the anesthesiologist all about my fears tomorrow and hopefully he can be sympathetic or provide me whatever I need to remain calm. The thing is, Im not worried about not waking up from surgery, I'm worried about what its going to feel like during surgery. I just have these fears of being able to feel things or hear things, or especially the tube being put down my throat!

So, just wanted to check in one last time before I head out in the morning. Have to be there at 10:30am so until I return with new

then I will see you all as soon as I feel up to it...and THANK YOU again to everyone for such great support!

hi, good luck for tommorrow!, you will not see hear or feel anything,its just like you are sleeping!, i know how you feel i have mine o friday, hope all goes really well for you i am sure it will!

I watched a programme recently about cosmetic surgery and they showed someone having a GA who was SOOOO nervous (it was a man having eye bags removed actually!). The anaesthetist put the injection in the back of his hand, and asked the patient to tell him about his holiday (to take his mind off the nerves). Well the patient just about had time to say "I'm going to Spain..." and that was it, fast asleep! It took less than 5 seconds - I was amazed!

I'm also nervous about the GA but it helped to know that I (and you!) really won't know I've even had it and by the time I (and you!) wake up I'll have Boobies HOORAY!
