Devastated!!!!

Hi,

You wouldn't believe it but I have come down with the flu, fevers, dioehera and a really bad cough.

My breast augmentation is monday and it looks like I will have to postponed...waited 3 months already and not sure when the next available appointment will be...totally bummed.

Hoping for some miracle recovery so I will be alright for Monday......I will stay positive and hope tomorrow(sunday) I am feeling better.

Sorry just wanted to vent my disappointment!!!

Im so sorry I can only imagine how dissapointed you are...it couldnt have come at a worse time for you. You have got 2 whole days in which you could possibly recover enough to have your op. I know you are going to be really down if you have to postpone it but hopefully they will be able to fit you in soon and you wont have to wait to long.

I hope you start feeling better soon get lots of rest and drink plenty of fluids.

You poor thing. I got a bad cold the week before mine. Haven't been sick in over a freakin year. I was trippin. I called to see if I could take some stuff said i had allergies. They said fine but NO aspirin. I made it to my surgery. Thank God. Maybe it will be like a 24 hour virus. I hope for your sake. Let us Know

I hope it's not flu Mel, otherwise Im afraid they will more than likely cancel, it's too risky...let's hope its just a nerves thing and you soon feel better...or, that they can rebook you asap...take care x

Awwww So sorry!

But hey! The good side is that it happened before the breast augmentation. Can you imagine if you got it right after???

I know it's gonna suck for you having to postpone. It feels like it takes forever anyway! Hope you're feeling better by Sunday!

my breast augmentation was on a tuesday and i woke up the saturday prior feeling the same way! probably the worst cold i have ever had. i took tylenol cold every 4 hours.. drank so much water and juice i was up peeing every 15 minutes.. ate tons of soup and upped my vitamin c intake. then i spent all day saturday and all day sunday in BED. i woke up monday morning feeling SO GOOD!

when you take meds (no aspirin, obviously) just make sure you stop 24 hours prior to the surgery.

good luck and hopefully you beat this!

Oh i was so scared before my breast augmentation. I work with children and in the week before my breast augmentation all the kids were sick. I was so scared about getting sick too and not be able to do my surgery, but i kept drinking orange juice and my regular vitamins and i didn't get sick.
I would try to rest a lot this weekend and see, maybe by Monday you re much better, but don't forget to tell you PS about the flu, because is better wait a little more than get some complications later.

I wish you get better and be ready to go on Monday.

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well girl, but there is still time. Drink TONS of water and gatorade to help flush toxins out and also maintain adequate hydration and electrolyte balance b/c of the diarrhea. Take your Tylenol for the fever or you could get Nyquil b/c that has Tylenol in it as well as a cough suppressant. Also, if you cough is "wet" or you have chest congestion you can get some over the counter Mucinex to help break it loose. Also drinking lots of water will thin the mucus making it easier to get rid of. Another important thing now is to REST, your body needs it! Take care girl and keep us posted. I will be sending positive vibes your way that you wake up tomorrow and feel like a million dollars!

I hate you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. I know it would suck to have to postpone but don't push it if you're still sick. Better safe than sorry. I hope you can still get your boobies Monday though.

How awful.

I'm terrified that's going to happen to me. (with my rotten luck) A lot of surgeons do not want to operate on you so soon after an illness because your immune system may not be up to par. You really don't want the risk of infection from a breast augmentation, of all things.
