Full unders/ partial unders?
I went on three consults and all three of the ps's told me they only do partial unders (dual plane?). Is it uncommon to get full unders or is there a reason it is only partial. One of the docs told me it's more common for recontructive surgery. I have a couple friends tell me they have complete unders and I'm starting to think they don't know what their talking about. I didn't know until recently there was a 3rd option. I thought it was either over or under. Only one of my consults actually told me what partial is. He was telling me about the procedure and said he does dual plane. The other consults told me they go under the muscle and not until we were a little more in depth about the procedure did I realize they were not speaking full unders. If I didn't ask them they weren't telling. If that is the case, are my friends actually walking around with partials when they think they are complete unders. I guess that's why it pays to do your homework.

i just went to my first consultation Tues and my p.s. told me that i need a "biplanar" aug. like you said, he didn't explain what that meant at all, and when i tried to look it up on the net later, i couldn't find ANYthing about it! thanks to the girls on this forum, tho, i now know that it means partial unders. the p.s. on this forum said that it's the MOST common breast aug. for a minute there i thought i was having some special new procedure done..... oh well!

Most ppl who have unders, like myself, actually do have the partial unders. We just generalize and call them all unders though. I know theres some ladies here on the board who have full unders. Full unders are def good for women w thin skin who would be at risk for bottoming out. Im not sure why more surgeons dont offer it. My guess would be due to the possibility of increased pain and longer healing time.
