Hello Girls
1- When do the bandages get removed?
2- How are they Bandaged?
3- How long are they bandaged for?
4- Will I be able to see new boobs after op in recovery room at hospital? Or are they bandaged right away before I wake? And if so will the doc come in when I wake and remove them to show me?
5- When I get home can I remove the bandages to show my man? Or is it best to wait ? what did you girls do?
lots of questions I know
8 more days
AHHH!
thanks to all

1- When do the bandages get removed? My PS said I could take the bandages off the next day before taking a shower. But I put on new gauze over the incisions after showering
2- How are they Bandaged?steristrips over the incisions, gauze over that, then tape over the gauze, then the surgical bra
3- How long are they bandaged for?Again, my PS said I could remove them before showering the next day
4- Will I be able to see new boobs after op in recovery room at hospital? Or are they bandaged right away before I wake? And if so will the doc come in when I wake and remove them to show me?For me, I was so out of it, I don't even remember leaving the surgucal cernter. When I got home, I slept a lot (course, I love to sleep!) I did look at them the next day though when I was more coherent. But I was sooooooo shocked!
5- When I get home can I remove the bandages to show my man? Or is it best to wait ? what did you girls do?Waited till the next day, like I said when I was more awake! But I have read a bunch of other girls that were up and around immediately so maybe they can give you a better answer here

Also another reason why my sugery was different, I had inner/outer thigh lipo at the same time- so I had a surgery that lasted almost 4 hours. . .if you are only having a BA with nothing else, it should only take an hour and a half- you'll be up and ready to go in no time

1- When do the bandages get removed? My PS is removing them the next day.
2- How are they Bandaged? My PS is using a thick ace bandage
3- How long are they bandaged for? My PS said the first 24 hours
4- Will I be able to see new boobs after op in recovery room at hospital? I didn't ask I just assumed I wouldn't be able to.Or are they bandaged right away before I wake? I figured this is how it would work. And if so will the doc come in when I wake and remove them to show me? I have no idea ... doesn't hurt to ask your PS though.
5- When I get home can I remove the bandages to show my man? Or is it best to wait ? what did you girls do? I would imagine being sent home in bandages your PS would want you to keep them on until he/she says it's okay to remove them.

You can call your PS before your surgery w/these questions I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help. Try asking if they'll take pics of the girls before they wrap 'em up just in case hubby won't be able to see them for a little while. Some PS's will take pics while you're still out of it.

Good questions!

Hope I was able to help a little,

~Kim

5- When I get home can I remove the bandages to show my man? Or is it best to wait ? what did you girls do?I didn't have bandages that I needed to remove to show him, they were just over my incisions, and I showed my husband right away...in fact, he probably saw them before me since I was so out of it.

Just my experience...

1- When do the bandages get removed? I was allowed to remove my bandages the next day and shower (24 hours)

2- How are they Bandaged? I was wrapped in two very wide ace bandages.

3- How long are they bandaged for? 24 hours, then I was instructed to wear a sports bra for the next 6 weeks.

4- Will I be able to see new boobs after op in recovery room at hospital? Or are they bandaged right away before I wake? And if so will the doc come in when I wake and remove them to show me? I was bandaged before I awoke. I did not get to see my breasts until I took the bandages off at 24 hours to shower.

5- When I get home can I remove the bandages to show my man? Or is it best to wait ? what did you girls do? It's always best to follow your surgeons recommendations. Even if you do take them off to look, they are probably going to look like anything other than breasts - this is definitely NOT going to be anywhere near your final result.
