partial vs. complete submuscular?

Hi -

I was just thinking about what my PS said about placement. My pre-op is in 4 weeks - so, I know everything will be confirmed with her then, but...

At my initial consult, she said that she'd place the implant submuscularly, but the bottom third remains over the muscle - which provides for a more natural look. (At least, I'm pretty sure that's what she said - this was my very first consult - so, lots there was lots of info to process before I was as familiar with the details).

Anyway - have any of you had partial submuscular placement? I wonder if the recovery is any easier that complete unders? Just wondering so I'll be better prepared with questions at my pre-op.

Thanks so much!

I have partial unders and my only complaint is that I can feel the bottoms of the implant. This is mainly b/c I have thin skin and little to no breast tissue, so there is no going around it for me. My recovery was just fine, I was driving on day 5.

I have partial unders. But since I have only had one I can't say if it is easier to recover that full unders. I do agree with the more natural look though. Cuz that is what it seems like so far. In addition, I am lucky cuz I started out as a 36C (deflated, but still) so I had a lot of breast tissue. So I have tried, but I can't feel the implant at all

Just keep readin and you will be so much better informed by your next consults!! JBI is sooooo healpful, you wouldn't believe it!

Good Luck!
