How Long do they last???

I was wondering how long breast implants last. Should be lifted or replaced after a 10 years, or if they are taken care of will they last over 20 years?

I think it totally depends on your body. My Mother In Law has had hers in for over 36 years and has never had them replaced.

I don't think the implants degrade but our bodies change. I'm planning on an exchange after ten years, probably need another lift or more volume. I know that after menopause we lose breast volume so I might have sag issues. Like someone else stated, it depends on your body.

my doc told me at my age I would probably need to have them replace at some point in my life, I'm 34.... he told me I may go to my grave with them or I may need them replace in 5-10 or 30 years .... just depends on a lot of things. I think that the implants that are out today last longer then most of the old school implants.

It completely depends on how your body reacts to them and how well you take care of them as well as take care of your body. I have an aunt that has had them for 30 years and they still look pretty good
