Unhappy How did your boobs look after you breastfed?!

Okay, so i was talking to my bf yesterday about getting my BA done soon. He told me that we aren't done having kids yet and that he was concerned with the outcome if I get a BA done now, we'll have more kiddies and they'll either be breastfed or on the pump. He actually scared me! I actually never really thought about it until that moment and now I am very scared because I don't want to chance anything and I do not want to go under the knife more than I have to.

We have one child now and are hoping for 2 more. I'm in school (college) too so I would like to hold out on kids for now (hopefully). I wanted to know if there were any other women here on JBI who have had their BA and then started baring children after and breastfed them. How did your boobs turn out? Did you have to go under the knife again?!

Also I found this website that showed a women who took pictures of her BA after having kids and breastfeeding. It didn't help! It actually scared me even more!

Well I had mine done after breastfeeding 4 kids and losing 75lbs. and not wearing a bra enough. So mine did'nt look good before I had them done. I have seen on here were women get ba first and need to get them redone. Which would be really expensive. If you can have your kids soon enough. I would hold off until after.

I also waited until I was done having babies to get my BA. I have heard way too many say they needed a revision after pregnancy and nursing. Also, nursing after BA is sometimes possible, but not always.

This is my concern too. From what I understand, it depends on how much your breasts change during pregnancy/breastfeeding. Mine hardly changed - I stayed in my A cup bra throughout, just filled it out better during pregnancy/breastfeeding. I plan on maybe having one more baby after BA, and my PS assured me that my boob job will not be significantly affected by breastfeeding.

If, on the other hand, you do tend to go up a couple of cup sizes during pregnancy, then I would probably hold off until you are done having kids.

that's one of my worries. But they said it depends on your body. Some people have a lot of changes after pregnancy some people dont. I read one of the post here she said one of her friend's boobs looks better after pregnancy and her other friend is opposite.

I figured everyone would tell me this...my boobs got really messed up during pregnancy though...and I hate that I don't feel confident in myself anymore...bras don't even fit right anymore...I just want to feel normal again. I miss my pre preggo boobs (34As)! It's upsetting and I dunno what to do. My bf and I are hoping to get hitched next summer (hopefully, money isn't really too nice with us right now). I wanted to feel hot. Now I just feel insecure every time I'm naked. He says he loves me the way I am and that my boobs are alright and tries to be positive but it's hard for me to feel that way. I've always wanted big boobs, I just want them even more now because my boobs are deformed....and I am still breastfeeding now!

We planned hypothetically that I'd get my BA done (if things went well with kids and marriage) by the end of 2015 or 2016 (I can't really remember which one). The wait seems like forever and I want to look bomb in my wedding dress!! Not like a deformed honkey! >_________<

I literally have tears coming to my eyes and they're burning....!

I also waited until after i had kids to get my boobs. My boobs got so huge nursing that if i had implants in there to, they would have been destroyed.

From what you're saying, I would wait. If money is an issue you certainly shouldn't rush into getting them done, only to ruin them with pg, and be unhappy with your boobs again. They can do lots of things to boobs in a wedding dress to make them look good! Those girls can work miracles! My boobs are also distroyed with pregnancy as well. I would be more upset about watching my newly BA'd boobs get ruined, then having to wait a longer. Just my honest opinion.

I waited until after breast feeding 4 kids to have mine done. My pre ba boobs were pretty icky :-( I do have a friend who got saline implants and then a year later had a baby and breastfed. Her boobs looked different for sure. Kind of saggy. About 3 years later she had another baby and breastfed, now they look pretty bad and she can't wait to have a revision.
My mom had salines also, had my little brother about 3 years later, then my little sister, bam, a year after that. Didn't breastfed either of them, (she's never been the breast feeding type) and she ended up with the same looking results as my friend, had a redo to silicone about 8 years later. It's the pregnancy itself, I believe, that does in the boobs. I know it sucks to wait, but I'm glad I did. You could always go ahead and get them and plan on having a redo as soon as you're done with kids?

I am getting mine PRE-children.
It's not the implants themselves that get ruined - nothing happens to the implants actually - it is just that your natural breasts expand, then stretch, then sag, so you might end up needing another ba and/or breast lift.

I'm getting mine pre_kiddos. I know lotsa women who breastfed with implants (from Vegas & used to work in hospital in women services). I have seen tons of bewbs. They only became more natural looking...HOWEVER my 2 friends who had overs and breastfed theres did get kinda messed up. Not destroyed but not good lol. Unders are the way to go for sure. Do what you want tho. I'm doing it bc hubby and me want to enjoy them without kids around. If I need a redo then it is what it is BUT I am optimistic they will be fine.

I'm curious about this to.. I'm getting my 2nd BA and def plan on having kids in the next 10 yrs. I guess I figure so many women get revisions for a number of reasons anyways. I'll just set aside funds for it. It's also recommended to replace implants every 10 yrs so that's something to keep in mind. That being said, I have a friend who got hers done and got pregnant like 6 mos after. Her boobs got huge and but now they look like they did pre pregnancy.. I know her first kid left her with really deflated boobs but the implants look very perky.

I dont want to be rude or offend anyone, but i dont understand why you would want to get a BA done if you still plan on having kids and breastfeeding them?

pregnancy and breastfeeding change your boobs big time! there is no way around that. If you already had one child and you see what happened to your breasts after having one child and breast feeding it is very likely that the same will happen when you have the second or third.

Plus didnt you say you are in college? and money is an issue and you havent married yet, and your BF wants one or two more kids...???

I really think you should wait on having a Ba until you have at least finished having kids.

but thats just my opinion and I dont mean to upset you. I know it really sucks to have your breasts ruined by pregnancy and breastfeeding. It happened to me also, but I am super happy that I waited to have it done until after having kids. I know its not the same but there are some great push up bras out there and my boobs always looked FAB (huge) "while" I was breastfeeding.

I'm kinda curious about this as well. I am 22 and do not have kids yet. I plan on it around 4 to 5 years. however my moms boobs were a 34a before pregnancy and now she's a 34c so she actually gained boobs. and she has no stretch marks or sagginess to her breasts at all. then again she didn't breastfeed but I heard whether u breastfeed or not the milk in ur breasts will still stretch them out and change the shape. eh they way I see it is i hafta get a redo eventually anyways so who cares.

Thanks everyone for you opinions...it just sucks... but about the money problems my bf says he'll help pay for the procedure because he is coming into a lot of money (lawsuit wise) so yeah. But I'm going to try my hardest to wait. It's just hard because the difference in my boob sizes is drastic...

I have two kids, and after losing all the baby weight, my boobs looked horrible. I knew that we would not have more kids for a few years, and I did not want to have to look at those ugly things until we were done having kids. So, I got a BA, and I know I will have to get them redone after I have more kids, and I will also get a lift at that time. If you will not be having more kids anytime soon, I say go ahead and do it now. Mind you, most women have to get at least one redo to replace old implants. They don't last forever.

There are no exact answers and no guarantees on this subject. I lost a full cup size each time I breastfed. It is a good thing I didn't have a third child or I would have been concave! My nips were horrible, they sunk down into themselves.
There was no question, I NEEDED a BA after nursing my daugter, which ended 3 years ago. I waited until now to do it, mostly because of money. Until we were financially ready I spent $100 on double push ups, which hid enough for me for a while, even though I had nothing to push up.

How long are you going to wait for more kids? If you're going to wait 4 -5 years then I would get them now and then have a redo after. I had my second ba with a full anchor lift about 3 years ago and am currently pregnant. At the time I didn't think I would be having a baby so soon but even if I knew there's no way I could wait as I was so unhappy

I think this is totally a personal decision obviously, that includes a bunch of factors. I have 2 children already and I was really unhappy with my breasts and they did get pretty "deflated" after pregnancy and nursing. We may or may not have another child -- but for ME, I knew that even if we ended up getting pregnant in a YEAR, that would mean I couldn't get new boobs for another 3 years b/c I would obviously wait until nursing was done and then wait at least until my child was 2 or 3 (ideally potty trained) so I wouldn't have to worry about carrying a large toddler around during recovery and generally, for ME, I wanted my kids to be self-sufficient when I had surgery so now was the perfect time for me. That said, if money is a major issue for you, and it's a one shot kind of deal, that's an important factor.

Also my doctor said that if you've breastfed before and your skin has already stretched, the changes will probably not be as extreme the next go around if you have implants. I have pretty modest implants and my skin is not way tight and shiny even brand new, so I'm not that concerned about it. The dr. did say that they would probably just look more "natural" after.

I feel for ya. It's a hard decision. You seem so anxious. I say, if at the end of the day, you are going to be miserable with yourself for years on end and your confidence is going to be down if you don't do it, and you can swing it financially, you should go for it. If it only bothers you a little and you can wait, then you should wait. Good luck with your decision. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be the best decision for you!
