Hairy nipples question!

Hi ladies,

So I'm new here, but have been reading posts for the past few weeks now. I'm getting my boobs done next Weds. CAN'T WAIT!!!

I have a BUNCH of questions and am SO anxious and nervous and happy

Anyways, I have a few stray hairs in the nipple area and was wondering if these remain the same, get worst or dissapear AFTER BA surgery...

Any input?

Thanks!

I got crease incision so my random hairs are still growing. :/ Also, I thought I was alone in boob hairs.

Laser hair removal works wonders.

My gf had the same problem. We got rid of them after less than 4 sessions.

You are not alone. I usually just pluck mine and I also get a few hairs on my chest that I pluck also on my upper lip. I paid for laser hair removal for my upper lip they had one of those daily deals for 4 sessions so I just gotta make the appt!

That would be amazing if the areola incision helped with that somehow. 8| I have these little hairs, too, they drive me insane! If the BA doesn't do anything for 'em, then laser hair removal is what I'll be saving up for next, lol.

I have those too. I have no idea how many there are because as they grow in I pluck them right away. One day not too long ago I was in the bathroom with tweezers and my little boy walked in and said "Mommy why are you pulling out your boob hairs?" Oops!

I too had and still have nipple hairs. I underwent my BA w/ crease incision. Before surgery & after, i pluck my hairs. I never looked into whether that is a good thing to do. So if anyone knows, let me in on that 1! ;o) Otherwise, I like the post some write about laser hair removal. I"ll be looking into that 1!

Lol, my son caught me too!

Hairy Nips checking in here! It's very normal and hormone related

Now what's embarrassing is when I have to use my husbands razor to shave my legs because I'm as hairy as Grizzly Adams..and I dull the razor after one use.. yeah try explaining that one

This is something I worry about! I know they say not to shave underarms, but I even have fine hair on my chest! It's minimal-not like a dude's, but I still don't know how I feel about a surgeon seeing hair there.

Is plucking before and after okay, or can that lead to infections depending on incision?

I was thinking of this too! But not for the same reason. I was thinking about how my boobs will be bandaged and I don't know if I can get under the bandage before my first appointment after the surgery...and then if he unwraps them, he will see all those hairs which grew back

I never thought about it leading to an infection and plucked all my hairs gone before surgery I have had zero problems.

That's exactly my fear! I know I'm not the only woman out there with excess body hair, but I swear I would die.

Just saw this after I posted! That is wonderful!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope I can do the same. May I ask where your incision site was? I'm thinking it's safer to mess with nip hairs if your surgery is through the crease. The doctors I'm interested prefer areola incisions.

i'm not gonna lie...i shaved my nip hair the night before. i did NOT want him seeing my nip hair!! lol. i called the nurse the day before to check and make sure on something and i mentioned shaving and she told me if i really wanted to shave my underarms i could. i just shaved my nip hair though.

Oh I shaved my under arms too. I was never told that would be a problem. If you think about it brain surgeons have to shave heads all the time to access the brain. If they do it for that intensive a surgery why would it be a problem for BA? Just a thought. Lol

OMG I'm so thankful for this posting!! I've even looked in menopause books thinking I was the only one because I could never find anything written about the hairs that grow around my areola!!
I am so embarrassed about them, there are LOTS! I've been plucking since my mid thirties and they've increased from a few on each, to about thirty on each now.

I hope someone posts more info about what's wrong with my hormones. So I can try improve things.
Thanks for the question, can't wait to hear more responses. I was going to pluck day before surgery, maybe I better do it week before!
