Do you miss your old boobies?

Hiya! With 8 days to go til my BA/FTT surgery, I'm really starting to feel bittersweet and nostalgic for this battered ole mommy body. For those of you who have already had BA, do you ever have sad moments where you really MISS your old, saggy boobies?

These are such conflicting emotions...on one hand, I can't stand my body. The boobies are flat as pancakes and totally empty. The tummy is wrinky, stretch-marked, and saggy. But my body looks this way for a reason -- I had two beautiful babies! This was a hard-won, battle-scarred mother's body and I'm PROUD of it for what it was able to do. However, aesthetically, it's VERY displeasing and I can't stand looking at it. My self-confidence is zero. But still, I have some emotional attachment to this beat-up mommy's body. I wonder if I'll miss it after it has been "improved." How do you ladies feel now....do you miss the ole boobies now that you have new ones?

I'm only 3 weeks post-op ... and I already say NO! I haven't had children, so I was a perky small 34B before. I did like my breasts, just thought they were too small ... wondered if I would miss them. I don't!!

I do not miss my "rocks in socks" breasts that were deflated due to nursing my children. I can see what you are saying though. They were the effect of having and caring for my babies. I'll always have the stretch marks (read: road map) on my rear to remind me of how lucky I am to have my children. Good luck! It won't be long now.

A BIG HUGE NOOOOOOOOO! LOL
I never had children so I can sort of empathize but i can't really relate to the mental nostagia about that but having boobs after having none for so long made a very positive difference in my life. Sales girls still tell me they would 'die' for my body when I try on clothes at the mall. It is just so nice to feel 'balanced' and be able to wear anything and look good in it. Also, I still feel like my 'boob's are my own. After all, it is the same flesh and nipples, they are just enhanced! lol

Guess I'm in the minority. For a couple of months after my BA, I missed my old boobs desperately. I just couldn't get used to what I saw in the mirror. Now that the stretch marks are fading and the boobs are settling, I'm slowly forgetting the old boobs. Hell, I had 'em for 32 years! Of course I missed them.

Actually, that's a good point! I'll definitely have other "reminders" of my pregnancies. I'll still have some stretch marks on my hips after my FTT to remind me of those days!

No I don't miss the size. At meetings no matter how dressed up I was, I always felt like a little girl. Now I can fill out clothes and feel more like a woman.

I do

Well, I don't miss having very small boobs but I miss feeling comfortable running and I REALLY miss my nipple sensation! I was apparently very naive to think that b/c I didn't get nipple incisions I wouldn't lose feeling in my nipples.

I can totally relate to you... About four days before I thought to myself, Well they're saggy and uneven, but they are soft and my husband loves them...

However, all is well - I don't miss the old ones and didn't realize how much the unevenness really bothered me (due to health issues). You will be fine!! Nothing will erase the memory of nursing your babies - and you've still got the stretch marks, if you ever want to walk back down memory lane. Enjoy your new titties!!
