Collagen?

I have been taking collagen--should I stop? My mom has rock hard breasts because she had so much scarring around the muscle, and although she had hers done almost 40 years ago and things have improved quite a bit, I want to be sure mine are nice & soft. I read that taking collagen would help decrease your chance of scarring but then I also read somewhere else that collagen is what creates a scar...Google search is dangerous! I know there are many of you who have a wealth of knowledge in this area, so I wanted to ask here. Any suggestions?

Hi, did you come to a conclusion about collagen? My BA is 8/1 and I've been taking it too. I know Vitamin E is bad, just not sure on the collagen..

Hope you are loving the new additions!

Hi, could do with advice on this too. I take zinc, l-lysine, vit c, omega 3, collagen and multi vitamin.

I'll be continuing with the zinc, vit c and l-lysine but stopping the multi vit and omega 3 - help grateful on collagen.

2 weeks post op I will start vit e tablets until the cuts have healed and then I can run it on incisions

Vitamin E is bad post op? I thought it was good for softening and preventing scar tissue. I read about the collagen somewhere here, but also through follow up research.... same with vitamin E I duo know but E is bad just before and shortlyafter surgery because it interferes with coagulation)). Many PSs have recommended 1,000 iu to start, then taper down after the first month.
