Back with BOOBIES - YAY!!!

Hello ladies - I'm back with my boobies!

Op went well and got back from hospital around 9.30pm yesterday. Had a couple of scary moments yesterday morning, almost fainting twice when I tried to get up to wash/dress because my blood pressure was so low, but that improved throughout the day, so once I'd had my drains out (24 hrs) and had my last shot of IV antibiotics, they let me come home.

Had a really good night's sleep propped up with many pillows - didn't move at all! Felt REALLY sore yesterday but that has also improved today which is great. I feel like I've been kicked in the chest by a horse and everything is VERY tight, but I can move around without too much discomfort. Wrapped myself in clingfilm and had a quick shower which felt good! Still can't really get my armpits wet thought so any good tips on keeping them stink-free would be appreciated (have tried baby wipes and hubby coulsn't find deo-wipe for me today).

Boobs look HUGE and swollen at the moment. I got the 300cc in the end which is great as this was the biggest size my PS recommended for me. Will be interested to see the final outcome, but I think I will be pleased! Somehow I still can't believe they're here to stay LOL! I've had boobs this size (and swollen) before when I was breastfeeding, but they always disappeared to nothing again!

I have loads of posts to catch up on, so will see how I get on. Am still feeling VERY tired so won't be here long. Thanks again for all the support in the last few months, and thanks in advance for answering all the questions that I am bound to have in the coming days and weeks!

Glad everything went well Tam, i had blood pressure probs too during and after surgery, which didnt help my recovery either !

I was told they make some washcloths like baby wipes for adults. I am getting prepared.

Thanks for all your good wishes ladies! Feeling a lot better today (3 days post-op). I'm surprised how quickly the improvement has happened actually considering I felt really rough on Saturday. I still feel extremely sore and tight in my boobs, but the acute pains have mostly stopped and my mobility is pretty good. Hubby washed my hair today which felt good! I still feel a little light-headed if I'm up for too long so I expect my blood pressure is still on the low side, and I'm surprised how quickly I'm getting tired, but I'm making myself rest plenty, and hubby is doing a great job with the kids!

I didn't personally see my friend in the hospital, but hubby did bump into her hubby (plus another friend who was visiting her), and my name was clearly on the board in reception, so it was just as well I'd made the story up about breast cysts or it would have been very awkward and embarrassing.

Just as encouragment to those of you waiting - the first 2 days post-op were WORSE than I expected (is that supposed to be encouraging LOL), BUT I have found myself feeling better quicker than I imagined after the first 48 hours. I have been keeping a journal and taking photos, so when I get round to it I'll start a Yahoo group and post those for you to see.
