Starting to freak the F out!!

How did I not see this. In my head I for some reason thought my boobs were somewhat close in size immediately post op. Then for whatever reason the muscle grabbed onto it and hasn't released it yet.....then I go back and look at my day 1 pics......and day 2......its very obvious I know its still early. But you'd think think would have been somewhat the same day one right?? Dh isn't helping. As I went back and looked at pics he made the comment yeah it won't be fixed until you have another surgery he wasn't being mean.....and he's not on here like I am seeing women post about having a slow boob. And I posted about that the other night. And those that have had this issue and it corrected itself was it evident from day one? I'm just starting to freak that this will be an issue and I will need another surgery asymetry was supposed to be fixed during the lift. So I'm not sure what's going on. I'm just soooo thankful its not evident with clothes on. Or I'd really be losing it!!

Wow I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope it is just a stubborn boob or muscle causing the issue and maybe giving it sometime will correct itself.

I have read on here some women who have experienced this where one side has a stubborn muscle that takes a while to relax and allow the implant to sit properly and fluff so maybe that's what's making them appear asymmetrical.

I wouldn't freak too much hard I know. Wait and see what some of the other more experienced girls say. Wish I could help more. Fingers crossed it's just a snotty muscle and your implant will eventually slap it into shape. Hugs

I hope your muscle relaxes, but I still think your boobs look great! They are so new and you still have so much changing to do!

I wouldn't worry quite yet. I had one side that I could feel the muscle holding on for dear life and it felt so strange like it didn't want to let go and I was lop sided for quite some time however over time it finally released.

I sent you a friend request, and you can look at my album. which I really must update. but, I was very very high and tight and awful on my left side even at 4 months... I contacted my ps, and he suggested wearing the strap 24 hours a day. He said it may take another month before that side relaxed.

also, if you can favour that side... don't carry anything on that arm, use your other arm for vacuuming, no weight bearing exercises etc... it makes a huge difference.

Your muscle may be tighter on that side (even if it isn't your dominant arm)

hope this helps...I was pretty anxious at 4 months, and it was even higher at 5 and 6 months, but it came down slowly.

WTH??

Is with October? LOL no really my left one is still sitting high too, it has slowly dropped a bit but it is noticeably smaller and higher than the right. Nevermind the other problems I'm having.

My PS said that the shape is lovely and not to worry that they are dropping fine. I'm not aloud to worry about the D&F until at least 6 mths out.

I don't think I can wear the strap because of my breast lift. :/ that is my dominant side I'm left handed. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one struggling with this. Its just frustrating. I have to remind myself they look sooooo much better than before and this is all part of the process. I only have 3-4 valium left I don't think that's enough to make a difference :/ my ps is in Hawaii right now actually :/ thanks for all your support ladies.

You need to remember that a BA is really 2 different surgeries. Each breast is going to heal on its own time. And if more work had to be done on one breast then that one is going to take longer to heal. You're barely a month out right now. I still had major frankenboob at 4 wks, and my left side (which had much more cutting and stitching done on it) looked bigger than my right side even though it is 75cc's smaller. Just try to relax and let your body heal. Make sure you take progression pics for yourself every week. The changes are incredible, but we don't really notice the progress when we scrutinize ourselves everyday.

I'm about 15 weeks PO and my right is still smaller and higher than my left....I'm right handed. I also though that in the beginning I was even until I looked back at pictures and could see that the right was always smaller....but less noticeably so. I'm also trying to be patient and waiting for the muscle to let go.

Hey cutie, please try not to stress too much. Your boobs each went through their own surgery. They will each heal differently. Unfortunately we are always our own worst critics. Mine dropped at different rates as well. You still have so many changes to go through but you already look fabulous.

Hang in there. Just got back from my 4wk appt, and asked about my unevenness, and lack of lower pole, etc... And he confirmed that they aren't done dropping, not even close, and he also said his favorite pitch, "in a perfect world, you'd have one breast in the middle to make perfect. But it's two separate surgeries and each will progress on their own timeline". I asked if i needed to consider the strap at this point, and he didn't think I'd end up needing it all.

Oh, and I put up new pics yesterday, if you wanted to take a look, at my lack of evenness...

This.

Mine look totally asymmetric too, due to one having dropped much more than the other. It seriously looks like a cup size difference, and I had no BL, no asymmetry (less than 20cc) to start with, and got the exact same implant in each side.

Totally normal. Ask your PS for reassurance if you need it, though! I always feel better after talking to mine. She'd be the best judge of anything going wrong.
