Unhappy SCARS =( little long

I am little concerned I had my ba about 10 mth ago. i am so mad before my surgery i told my ps that i have always had a problem with disolvable stiches and his reply was oh well you never had a ps do them so i trusted him. well the inevitable happen and my stiches were slitting and not disolving so when i was about 10 days post out they pulled them out which really affected the wounds and made the scars really thick and i said i told you so. he said wait a year and then we could reconsider scar revision. wtf.... I had a lollipop lift and my scars are still very visible i have hypertrophic scars, not keloids. I have olive color skin and i was told that scars would take a little longer to fade but 10 mths????? are they ever going to get better? i have tried everything from silicone strips to dr blaines, to mederma and they have gotten a tiny bit better but not great at all. has anyone out there had this problem? did your scars fade do you have any advice on anything that could help. i am so discouraged i love my boobs but i HATE my scars =(

I'm sorry to hear about your scars. This would be a good question for the Ask a Plastic Surgeon forum.
