Taking pills before surgery, but no water?
This may seem like a silly question, but I just realized that I am supposed to take a couple pills the morning of surgery and I am not supposed to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before. How do I take the pills without drinking water? What did you all do, just swallow without, or what? My PS's nurse was very clear that I was not to have anything including gum...Just curious....Thanks in advance!

My instrictions were something like: if you need to take medication prior to the surgery, you may take it with a sip of water.
Normally would tell you to check with your PS, but since it looks like you surgery is tomorrow you probably won't get to! |

They don't want you to chug 8 oz - just use enough water to get the pill down!

Are you really sure that you are allowed to take those pills? My PS was super strict and said I could have absolutely nothing before surgery. No pills, no water, no nada. You might want to double-check with your PS or just wait until after your surgery to take the pills.

I was told to take my meds with a sip of water.

My PS's nurse gave me a tiny dixie cup with some water so I took it with a sip from that before surgery.
