Dying to buy new bras- when can I???

Ok gals... I'm only two weeks out. Fit into Victoria Secret 34 DD! Yippee! I only bought two not knowing if my size will change. Could you guys please tell me if your size changed enough post surgery to need a different size bra???
Did you go up or down a cup size? Just got myself a VS credit card and dying to run it up! Yipee

Thanks in advance for all your help along the way gals- would have chickened out and not gotten my breast augmentation if not for this site! :0)

It is exciting, love to have your new girls. But they will change over the course of weeks and months and so I wouldnt spend too much money on them just yet. Try to be a little more patient and then BUY away!

I think you should wait, to be on the safe side. You might go down or up a size still, and Victoria's Secret bras are expensive. It could end up being a waste of money to buy a bunch, only to have them not fit in a month.

I would hold off before running up that credit card. I am going to shop for bras (I'm almost 4 weeks out, and I can finally be rid of this surgical bra, yay!) and I plan on getting cheapies for now. You still have lots of changes to go through, and it would be a shame to throw away money on nice, expensive bras that only fit for a month!

If you are going to get a bra you must check these bra's out!! My girlfriend got a breast augmentation and swears by them. They are way better than VS....

You have a lot of discipline for only buying 2 new bras! You are a better woman than I. I looked pretty decent at 2 weeks post-op and went on a bra-buying spree at 3 weeks, since it seemed like most of my swelling had gone down by then. Little did I know. Sigh. I had bought around seven 32D's......now at 3 months post-op, I'm a humble 32C. Your boobs are going to change a lot in the coming months...some are lucky enough to "grow" but others will settle down and shrink a bit. I urge further self-discipline and try not to buy any bras for the time being.

To scratch that itch, you could always visit the lingerie shops to *try on* bras instead of buying.

I am almost 2 weeks out and decided not to buy bras yet since I wasn't sure where I was going to end up size-wise. What I did instead was buy the tank tops with the built in bra from Victoria's Secret so I would have support and coverage but no underwire and no size issues! Hope this helps! You can buy 3 for $30.

I always wanted to wear the tanks and halters with built in bras but never would dare go without a padded bra! Now I am excited to wear these!

Haha, this is me, too. Two weeks as of today, and haven't even tried on any bras yet. I've wanted to, but never find any 32's. I've been buying tank tops, though!

I would say to wait a little while longer, two months at least. In the meantime go to Wal-Mart or Target or one of those, their bras are really cheap and that way you have something to wear in the meantime

I just got mine done today, and I'm already duying to buy one! But I'm going to wait, and go bra-less for a while, then buy a cheapie at wal-mart. I can't afford to buy any at VS and then not be able to wear them.

Ellie will become famous soon enough
I was cleared to wear any bra I wanted at my 8 days post op visit so that weekend I bought 2 bras. The one that was slightly big in the cups 36E was the only bra that still fit me 2 weeks later. I went up a cup size imagine my shock when I went bra shopping over a month post op and found out that I was a 34F! I had overs with unders you can gain 2 cup sizes. Stick with a couple of bras for now

375cc overs

Now a proud 34F
breast augmentation Date 6th March 2008

REDO 2nd of June 2009
Full anchor lift switched from overs to partial unders because of visible implant edges and for a more natural feel
Capsulectomy for capsular contracture
360cc partial unders
Looks like I'm a 34DD/E
Cohesive silicone gel textured anatomical
Also found out that my old implants had partially rotated and were too wide for my chest wall. They were supposed to have been HP but I was given mods or mods + (can't remember which)

REVISION 10th of November 2009
Manually release left muscle so it can drop and lower pocket by 1cm
Remove some breast tissue from right so they are even and do another lift as it's slighty saggy
Please please be third time lucky!

I just got the VS CC too. I am only going to buy tank tops with the shelf bra and a few of the knit summer dresses. I am going to try and hold of buying any typ of bra for a couple of months.

my PS said to wait at least 3 months before doing any serious bra shopping, so ill probably just get one for when i can get out of my surgical bra and then wait for all the fancy ones
