Measuring BWD once you have implants in?

I'm curious, if you had implants put in that were not exactly the same width as your BWD (wider than your real BWD), how would a surgeon measure your actual BWD? Would he have to take the implants out and measure it then? Assuming he doesn't have your original, pre-breast augmentation measurements. It changes with implants in, if they are too wide, right?

Good question. I'd assume he'd do it the same way they did it before, except your BWD would increase not just to the size of the implant - your massaging makes the pocket larger than the implant.

Hmm I don't massage mine. But I'm guessing if my implants are wider than my original BWD then my BWD is now the size of them? Not sure maybe I'll ask this is the ask a PS section!

Great question! Not to high jack your thread or anything...but do you guys know how they measure BWD? Like, from what point, to what? I don't get how Drs can get different measurements for the same person lol

I think it's just from one edge of one boob to the other edge, just the width of it. I guess centimeters are pretty tiny so one person's measurements might be a little off from the next person's?
