I'm just so excited, all that comes out of my mouth is about the ba! haha, i know my family and friends will be glad when I shut up!! anyways, just wanted to see if yall have any last minute tips for me????

Drink as much water as you can today, take a multivitamin if possible, and do any last minute reaching or lifting for things you may need. Make a checklist for yourself and make sure that everything is well prepared. Prescriptions with non safety caps (you must ask for this specifically since you won't be able to open them without it) And don't forget to set your alarm clock to make sure you get up early. You may want to shave and everything tonight and then shower again tomorrow morning so that you use up less time in the morning when you're tired and groggy.
Good luck and congrats!

thanks!!!
I've been drinking water ALL day long it seems!! (my bladder is def. feeling it! haha).. Good idea at getting all things that I need to reach in a better location! I've done a few things, but I probably should do another walk through in the house. I'll have to ask for those nonsafety caps when I get my prescriptions filled, I honestly would have never thought about that if I hadn't read it on JBI! Thanks for your advice!!

If you get your prescriptions from Walgreens, turn the cap over and its no longer a "safety" cap, it'll twist off easy..little trick I learned working there a few summers ago! I am getting mine on Thursday..so we are kinda BA twins! haha..and I am in nursing school as well..I assume you are by your name?! Anyways, good luck..see you on the other side if I don't freak out.. =)

tngrl, we have the same BA date! That's a great tip about the Walgreens bottle- I feel silly that I didn't think of that.

Good luck nurse2be, we're sending happy thoughts!!

Get your spot on the couch (or recliner) all ready to go with TONS of pillows, a blanket (I was absolutely freezing for the first day because of the anesthesia), remote control and DVDs. Get straws for drinking since you won't be able to lift a cup. Those baby-wipes-for-adults things are a godsend in feeling fresh. Get some Smooth Move tea from the store (might be in the healthfood section) because regular laxitives just won't cut it alone, and trust me, you are gonna feel bloated (plus the tea is yummy and comes in chocolate); drink 3 cups per day. I couldn't even think about food for the first two days and had to be forced to eat, so get some soup that you like from the store but make sure it's low sodium so you don't retain extra water. Also, hagen-daas sorbet is your friend-- you can eat it and lean it against your chest for cooling at the same time! Have a friend by your side for the first two days to help you sit up and lay down because you won't be able to do it alone. Good luck-- you'll do great!!!

Congrats ! I will keep you in my prayers and you will see that everything will go great and you will look amazing.

I totally understand you about talking only about your BA, but once you have them and can see them trust me you wont stop talking about them.
