hmmm is buying bra's in the size you want to be, before your actual op a stupid and un-realistic thing to do???
im thinking of taking the rice test boobies with me to bra stores and trying on some pretty bra's in size c/d cups and possibly even buying them (as its crazy sale time in australia atm and pretty bra's everywhere, really cheap!!!) or should i just wait till ive had it done, then concentrate on pretty bra's and not waste my money as they might not fit exact??? i think im getting ahead of myself heheheh, just want pretty bra's now ![]() thanks guys

I wouldn't buy bras pre-op. It's best to wait til after your surgery. If you do buy bras prior to your ba, leave the tags on and keep the receipt in case you need to return them.

I bought a couple of bras pre-BA, in the size I thought I was going to be. Good thing I left the tags on! They both went back, sooner rather than later. I'd wait, if I were you, unless you know you can take them back. Here in the states, at least, if you buy something on sale, really cheap, you usually can't take it back.

I got beautiful Pleasure state bras on sale in 32D...now they don't fit properly and I can't return them because they were on sale...I don't know what to do with them now...so I would advice against it.
Crop tops and singlets are ok tho, I wear them all the time! |

I bought a 34C sports bra. This seems to be some what adjustable just in case. I left the tags on it. I did use the bra for the rice test at home.

I'm really tempted to... Especially with Victoria's Secret having their big semi-annual!! But... Since I'm trying to save up for my BA, I shouldn't spend money on things I won't wear until weeks after my BA.
*sigh* Bras are so pretty!

My PA told me to buy this certain Bali bra with no underwires in the size I am now and then I have to purchase another bra from him on the day of the surgery, not sure why.

Not a good idea....
Before my BA, I remember being so excited that I wanted to buy a bra too! I think it was part of my mental transition to boobieland. Now I'm 2 months post-op and realize that there was no way that I could have guessed my future size. From my sizers in my PS office pre-surgery, my best guess would have been a 34 C or D, turns out I'm a 32DD (and in some styles, a 32E).
I went bra-shopping for the 2nd time post-BA last evening. I can't imagine being able to make the right choice until I actually tried them on my post-BA body. For one thing, different companies do measure sizes differently--one company's 32DD is not the same as another's. I may be a very picky bra-buyer, but I don't like spending 10-14 hours a day in a bra that's not comfortable. Last night, I tried on 12 bra's and found 3 that I considered comfortable enough to buy. I'll probably keep the tags on, unless I need to wear them, for as long as possible in case my shape continues to change (although my PS said this is unlikely for me at this point). One thing that I wish that I had done during the last weeks/months before my BA was to pay more attention to the types of clothes that look good on women who have larger breasts. I was a little unprepared to start buying tops and dresses with my new figure. It's true that naturally larger-breasted women have been dressing for their shape since they were in their teens--I have some catching up to do! Hope this helps someone!

I bought 2 Bras from VS before my BA. I normally fit a 34B or 34/6C. The VS Bras i bought were a 34D, and a 36DD. Surprisingly i fit into the 34D before my BA. After my BA, i have yet to try on any bras yet.
