Gummy Bear and Mentor Cohesive Gel the same? or different?

Hi I have heard various things on the web about Gummy Bear vs. Mentor Cohesive Gel Implants

I'm getting the Mentor Cohesive Gel Implants and I was led to believe that the Gummy Bear implants were something different than the Cohesive Gel Implants.

I thought that cohesive gel implants by mentor were like the 'new' version of the old silicone implants

and I thought that Gummy Bear implants were different than those and were their own type of silicone implant that are not as widely used yet (still being tested perhaps).
I'm not saying bad things about either, I'm just saying I thought they were different, but I've also read a lot saying they were the exact same thing.

Anyone have some good info on this subject?

you can also PM me (I just figured out how to turn that on)

Suprmama will become famous soon enough
They are different. The gummy bears are still in trials in the US.

Mentor Level III cohesive gel implants are gummy bears and are not yet FDA approved in the US. Levels I and II are still cohesive but not form stable. They are considered safe and are widely used in the US.

thank you for clarifying that for me,
so the videos that have been circulating that are of the level 3, how about a video of the one that is legal now? is there one out there?
i saw a video of the 'old style of silicone implant' does that mean the kind i'm getting? or does that mean the kind that is no longer used in the usa?

This is a comparison of saline, old style silicone implants which are no longer available and the new cohesive silicone implants.

The gummy bear implants are firmer than the new cohesive silicone gel.

Some people incorrectly refer to all cohesive gel implants as gummy bears. The 'true' gummy bears are completely form retaining and anatomical. Those are not on the market yet in the US. The videos that are circulating usually feature a regular cohesive gel implant, not a true gummy bear one. Those are always anatomical.

Thank you that is so good to know, cause I really loved watching those videos and felt a lot better about my surgery, but then I worried maybe it was the other type of implant I was watching a video of.
I really appreciate you clarifying this for me.
