Cool how many days off?

I know everyone is different and heals at different paces, etc, but approximately how many days off work did everyone take? if any. i have heard of some people having their surgery on a friday and going back the monday after the weekend. Just curious. thanks

I've hear of people doing that too, but I think that's for overs. I understand that the recovery time is much less. I can't really help you beyond that. I'm not having my BA until Monday.

I took a week. I think thats pretty standard and its what my PS recommended for the minimum.
I dont think theres anyway I couldve just expected to heal over the weekend. I had my BA on a Thurs nite and was completely out of it the whole weekend. Sunday night was my worst- I could've never dragged my drugged-up achy self to work on Monday.

Had mine on a Wednesday and was back to work the following Tuesday. I think a lot depends on what your job duties entail. If you have mainly a desk job, you'll need less time off than someone with a more physically demanding job. Either way, you'll be tired at first. Your body is using so much energy to heal!

I had unders and went back to work on day 12. I was still a bit sore even then but I was well off pain meds (only Tylenol). Driving....I had to be very careful. I was still turning by using the bottom of the steering wheel as hand-over-hand was out of the question. I wasn't opening/closing heavy doors either (including the gate on my SUV!). It's surprising to really "notice" all that you use your chest muscles to accomplish!

I had my surgery on a Wednesday morning and returned to work the following Thursday (a full week and a day off.) I have a desk job and could have been back to work after three days but I had a VERY quick recovery. I did have to be careful how I was steering my car, openning doors, carrying things, etc. but if you have a desk job, I think a week is pretty standard. BUT everyone heals differently (if you haven't noticed that yet from the wide range of answers you are getting here! LOL)....

I'm off for the summer since I work at a school. However I felt good enough to return to work day 5. My friend had it done on a Friday and went back to work on Monday with unders. There's not real way to judge this though because everyone is so different. It also depends on your job. HTH

Two weeks might have been okay, but having strained myself, plus having a physically demanding job where I do a lot of repetitive motion lifting, they gave me 4 weeks off. Fabulous.

Got it done Friday evening, spent Friday and Saturday at the hospital (they required it) and was back in class by Monday.

I took off 6 days. I had a really good recovery though so far. I am still careful at work. I feel like I get tired faster now. I also am ready for bed early rather than staying up later.

I am going back on Monday, my surgery is tomorrow!!! My doctor specializes in a gentle technique called "quick recovery" augmentation. He said 95% of his patients are off all pain meds within 24 hours! I asked about getting more time off and he said he didnt think I would need it!
