![]() | Days needed before returning to work?
I'm a tutor/teacher and teach 2 days a week from 8:30 to 3:30 - Monday and Thursday. I start again in the end of August and don't break until October. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get in before the August start date. My question is - how many days are needed before I could go back to tutoring? I do lift my arms all day to write on a white board. If I had the surgery on Friday would I be recovered enough to return to work by Monday? Thanks ya'll, Tammie |

Well I would say you'd be quite sore. The lifting arm will not be fun. I was ok to return to work on day 5 but I am off for the summer. However, that much lifting of the arm probably wouldv'e hurt me a lot. Is there anyway you can take a week off? After that you should probably be ok.

You'll need a good full week off.

Well it depends on if your getting overs or unders. And I think how big you go as well. My 1st breast augmentation I had 400cc/overs. I was okay by Day 5. My 2nd breast augmentation I got 660cc/unders and I had 11 days to recovered and I think I needed every day of 11 days.. What are you getting?

You need a full 7 days off. 10 is even better. You need to avoid all unnecessary arm movements - not only because you are going to be really sore, but because your blood vessels need time to heal. I can't stress this enough. You do not want to get a hemotoma. I'm almost two weeks out. By day 10 I was comfortable with 'normal' activities, as long as I didn't overdo it. I'm still taking it easy. No way I'd go back to work with unders in less than 7 or better 8-10 days. |

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure what I'm getting yet...I am looking towards 350cc/silicone/unders (to get me to a full c/baby d)...but I am still doing a lot of researching and talking. ;-) I was afraid I would need at least that much time off. Even for the sheer exhaustion aspect of talking and being on my feet for a full 8 hours........ I'm still hoping to get in at the first of August, so I have about 2 weeks to heal up. But if not, I'll wait it out until our fall break. ;-) (hugs) and thanks again. On my way to joining the boobie club. lol |

I would say 4-5 days, minimum. Lifting your arms is going to hurt for a little while. Think about it this way....it's 4-5 days to recover for 10+ years of knowing that you allowed your body the time it needed to heal properly |

I would give yourself a minimum of 7 days to recover. You'll still be tired, low on energy, sore when you get back to work etc., just take it easy and slow. I gave myself 10 days. Although I was OK to do "normal" activities on day 10, I still didn't feel like myself completely. I'm a little over 3 weeks now, and I honestly can say I finally feel like myself. I get to start exercising tomorrow, which makes me even happier!

Well you arent even supposed to drive for 5-7 days and my PS said no moving arms above my head for the first two weeks unless just just to wash my hair or put on a shirt.

Why do those darn kids need to learn? Don't they know that I need tatas?!? lol. Well, hopefully I can squeeze in soon - but if I have to wait I know it will be sooo worth it. |
