Exclamation Multivitamin without Vitamin E

I would appreciate any response as soon as is humanly possible!

Does anyone know of a good multivitamin without Vitamin E? I need to start taking a multivitamin ASAP but cannot take Vitamin E. I also need to take 2000mg of Vitamin C daily ASAP, but I should be able to figure that one out. I will be going to a health food store today or tomorrow to pick up the vitamins, so thought I'd ask before I go.

Thanks in advance for any input!

I am not sure why you can't take Vitamin E, but maybe the amount of it in multivitamins is not enough to matter for whatever you need them for? I was allowed to take one before my breast augmentation even though it contained some Vitamin E. Hopefully the health store knows more than I do! PS your boobs look amazing!

I can't help you on a multi without the E, however, my PS specifically told me not to take my multi since it had E and other stuff in it that he didn't want me taking.

I just took the 1000 mg of C and then resumed my multi after surgery.

I was also instructed not to take vitamin E before my breast augmentation. My PS did want me to take a multi-vitamin. I took the Ultra Mega For Women by GNC. It does have Vit E but, my PS said it was OK as long as I only took one a day instead of two.

Becky - I think it could be really difficult to find a multivitamin without Vit E, hopefully the health food store can help you!

Maybe you could take smaller doses of a variety of vit instead of 1 multi? I heard on Oprah today that A,B,C & D are the main ones to focus on for overall health ...more money to buy them seperately but it might be worth it in terms of healing time. hth.

Vitamin E is a blood thinner which can cause excessive bleeding during surgery. Fish oil too.

Call, but don't worry too much. Some PS's say to take the multi vitamin daily in the weeks preceding surgery. Whatever is in the multi probably won't hurt that much. I think it's a trade off...it's good to have other vitamins for good health and healing, but the vitamin E thins the blood, so some say no multis in the weeks prior. I think just as long as you don't take the Vitamin E in doses over the daily recommended allowance, which many people do with those mega vitamins out there. But yes, do call. I'm sure you'll see it will be fine.

Yes! My PS told me to stay away from both. In fact I had a whole booklet of things to avoid.
