Inlaws & boobs

Ok so check this out, two weeks ago my in-laws were visiting and I noticed after hugging my father in law he glanced at my boobs. You know like he was checking them out. (the in laws were not told of my procedure for their own sake) Come to find out my DH's uncle told him three weeks ago that I had them done! On top of that DH's aunt just recently (last weekend) spilled the beans to my mother in law while they were shopping together. (the aunt & uncle in question are married) I guess they would figure it out eventually cause you can't hide them all the time but...
I'm not mad per se, just frustrated, it seems you invest information in some people and they just can't keep their mouths shut!
There was no malice involved I'm sure but gossip kills! ARRGH!!
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I am sorry people don't know how to keep quiet! I don't know why people think it is ok to talk about a woman's breast. We don't sit around talking about Joe's ****. When will people get that somethings are personal.

yeah it will be discussed no matter what family ur in.. my family is all about DRAMA and GOSSIP.... we have alot of bitter women, and lots of aunt that get together to gossip so when i went to my cousins baby shower a few weeks ago i was already thinking of what i was going to say to them all when they say something to me about it and to my surprise, nobody said anything about them except that i look great. shocked me.. even weirder, my bf told his dad and mom right in front of me before i had my BA so when i saw them for the first time since the BA, i noticed them looking at my chest.. irs normal and i think it is normal for anyone to hear about someone getting a boob job and them looking. i know thats the first thing they will notice.. but it does suck because it is just alittle personal and private... i am very open about my BA with everyone and really dont care what they have to say but even today when my dads friend saw me for the first time since my BA, he looked at me and just said "damn".. it was alittle embarassing id have to say but i know it is to be expected.. just hold ur head high girl and be proud of those gorgeous boobies!!!

I so know how you ladies feel! I told a friend at work why I was taking 3 weeks off, and a few days later a bunch of people were coming up to me and asking to see before and after pictures. And some were asking me whats the point of doing this. It really pissed me off! Now I feel weird being around some of these people. But I can say that I did get a few girls that were interested in my BA to check out this site. So thats nice.

I can so totally relate... One of my best mates husband blabbed my secret to all his mates... I was horrified at the thought of all the boys in our group knowing but they were all impressed & have not said anything derogatory. Thank god!!

So much for a secret...Now all my friends & their husbands know... the best part is everyone is supportive!!

I'm terrified of my In laws finding out. They are actually the sweetest people in the world and I don't want my mother in law to lose respect for me. She is in no way a judgemental person, just very sweet and modest. I know that my sister in laws will eventually find out and am hoping they just keep it to themselves. But my fear is my one SIL will also go out and get a BA (she always talks about it too) and that will reflect bad on me. She doesn't have the money to do something like that and is a single mom that takes quite a bit advantage of my mother in law to begin with.

I guess when it is all said and done, you can't do anything about other people's actions.

Thats totally the truth. You can't control everything in your life, and predicting the reactions of others is even worse. Still I feel a little weird/icky about them knowing. Its such a personal thing.
Thanks for all your support, its a relief there are women who know the deal!

There's an even more harsh saying that goes: "If you can't keep your own secret, how can you expect anyone else to?"

I've decided that a secret is actually a burden for most people. First, too many people don't even care enough to try. They're the people who will gossip without even being prodded, running to the gossip gods with their offering. Then there are the people who care but don't have the maturity or self-control to keep the secret when pressed. And people will pressure them with questions because they know that the two of you are friends. So you see it becomes a burden to a friend to share a secret, but it's a great gift to keep a secret for another.

My sister is very sweet and I love her dearly, but she cannot keep a secret to save her soul. I've learned to recognize and accept the shortcomings of others as we all have them.

If you can find someone who will take your secret to the grave, then you have a lifelong friend. Treat them accordingly!

Sheesh, don't people have TACT anymore??? I'm amazed. Before and after pics? Are you on a talk show, or at work??? And what's the point of doing this? Kind of reminds me of people who like to try to debate the Iraq war with me (BTW I'm not
