Talking recovery way better than expected...how is yours?

i'm about 5 days post op and better than i could ever imagine...i really thought i was going to be in so much pain but right after the op it just felt like i did 5000 push ups non stop so needless to say i felt super sore and tight..............now i can't help but try on bathing suits, dresses, whatever i feel fits....!

they haven't D&F yet (i'm an unders girl so i hear it takes some time) but i've been checking them out (hehehe) everyday and am amazed that i now have tatas of my own instead of the padding in my bras..

i can't wait to go shopping for sexy bras - been eyeing Victoria' Secret's website and looking at all the bras i PLAN to buy soon...!

thank you all for your help on this journey...my are here and i'm beyond ecstatic!!!!

i know a few ladies had their BA around the same time i did and i got a couple of VM but i can't respond so i am hoping you guys are reading this....how are you guys doing????

thanks again!!!!

Hi MJ,
Had my BA this Wednesday and I'm pretty swollen and sore. The first day was easy, but yesterday the swelling really increased, kinda feels like my skin is going to burst!! Had some awful 'morning boob' today, couldn't get the ice packs fast enough for me! Hoping it calms down considerably over the weekend as I have to be back to work on Tuesday. Hope it continues to go well for you!

WOW! Congrats and lucky you! I am 8 days PO and only just starting to move around and feel like a human. I was in way more pain than I ever expected. I have 450 saline overs. The day of surgery I was so excited that I hardly noticed but the next day all the way to about day 6 I was holding my boobs like babies everytime I moved. They were so sore and tight, morning boob was the worst thing in the world, couldn't sleep...I was/am way more of a wuss than I thought I would be. Funny thing is I had a pain pump, percocet, a very helpful family, and was the biggest wimp ever! Oh well, everybody is different... my sil was like you, all well and fine from day one...

I agree with you, I cannot wait to go shopping! That is the light at the end of the tunnel for me! I want to enjoy my newbies and be excited about them not worry about them all day long.

Good luck for continued well recovery!

Thanks for the replies

I have no threshold for pain so was expecting the worst so maybe that helped a little and also...my precious beagle must've sensed I was in some pain b/c she did not leave my side not even for a second and we're talking about a crazy active 2 year old beagle....boy do I love my baby girl!!! she and the wonderful bf totally made my recovery smoother

Wow! These are the kinds of posts I like to read! I have just 26 days to go and getting more and more nervous as the day approaches. (Yet, I'm still counting down!) I love to hear about easy recovery - thank you. I hope I get to be as lucky.

So far so good over here. I had surgery yesterday and cant wait for the soreness to go away. I've been pretty much sacking out on the couch all day & night. When did it start getting easier to stand up from a seated position - I never knew I relied on my chest muscles so much. Hubby has been awesome though - helping me get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, getting me food & drinks and all that good stuff. My baby girl comes back home from being with her grandparents on Sunday... then Tuesday its back to work,,, hope I'll be ready.

Wow, you guys are lucky! I hope Im fortunate enough to have a relatively painless recovery but somehow I dont think thats going to happen, especially since Im having multiple procedures done.

I had mine the 26th and I was pretty good the first few days. I only took percocet the first night and then just had tylenol prn after that. Today though, mine are swollen and painful! I don't know if it is because I am moving more or what but they feel like they might pop out of my skin. It's not unbearable though.

Glad to hear we are all doing okay.

Midwest Cutie will become famous soon enough
I had 350 CC overs with a full anchor lift. First day I was out of it and didn't care. Second day was by far the worst. Lots of pain, felt drowsy, queasy and disoriented. Today is the third day and I'm feeling a lot better. I attribute it to several things:

Laid off the pain meds. That is what was making me feel so drowsy and queasy.

Unwrapped the ace bandage and put on a new one. The ace was causing me a lot of discomfort. It was way too tight. Once I took it off and was rewrapped with new one my pain and discomfort went way down.

This is not to say I'm 100%. I still have some pain and swelling but icing helps. But my head doesn't feel all foggy and I can breathe and move better with the ace bandage not so tight.

I am on day 4 today after 325 cc unders + full anchor lift and I am doing just fine. I still take my pain meds every 4 hours and try to relax and take it easy but I am doing so much better than I thought I would. No pain, just swelling, discomfort and limited range of motion. I try not to look at my boobs, though, they are not a pretty sight. I have done better emotionally than I thought also, but it is getting to me that I cannot cuddle up with DH like I am used to.
