I can get my breast augmentation on Feb 9 but oh so scared!

Hi guys!

Well I was given the chance to get my breast augmentation on Feb 9 but I just cant bring myself to make that phone call to take the spot. I am not sure what I am scared of now. Its wierd. Well actually there are lots of things I am scared of really. I just know how bad I want them so why cant I make the phone call? AAARRRGH! I am afraid if I wait much longer I am going to decide not to do it at all. At first I felt I was too old to do it, then everyone will look at me wierd and say to themselves" look at her fake boobs" my boyfriend will treat me different. And OMG , it will hurt! Why cant I just wake up with them in my own bed? LOL

I am trying right no now to book the date and its taking forever!!!! what a dork I am!

Girl just make the appointment!. I went to consultations and made the appointment and had my breast augmentation two weeks after deciding that this is what I wanted because like you said, if I thought about it I would've never done it.

I was nervous too. At one of my pre-op appointments I was given two dates. August 25th and September 1st. I made the date for August 25th (which was 3 weeks away at the time I made the appointment). It was a 30 minute drive home and when I got home I got straight on the phone and switched to the September 1st date, lol. It just seemed soooo soon and I was so nervous. I dont regret switching my date b/c it worked out that my mom was able to come stay with us and help with the kids longer b/c it was a holiday weekend (labor day).

But,if you're having doubts, maybe you should hold off til u know 100% ur ready....I think the realisation has hit you harder than u imagined....dreaming of getting them, then the realisation that can have them, are very different...I hope it all works out for you x

I can SO relate!!! Its something I KNOW I want... but the reality of "surgery" is awfully intimidating!!! I have my consult Thursday and if I like them and all... if they want to schedule me... I know I'll have a big GULP to make!

Why don't you just make the appt - and give yourself a week or so for it to sink in. From what I hear - you can always change the date, with some notice. Might make it a little more real for ya.

I think it's normal to have doubts and be scared. Especially when it all of a sudden becomes real! I wish I could help you decide.

If it helps, my breast augmentation is Feb. 7, two days before yours, if you make that call. I actually felt BETTER after I set my date. Then it was done. One big step towards boobs. I still have moments of indecision and wondering what the heck I am doing, tho'. I bet I am older than you, sweetie, and who cares? That just means I've wanted boobs for longer than a lot of people and won't wait anymore. (How old are you?)

I won't tell you to make that call. That is up to you. But I hope you can do it. I do not think you will regret it. Either way, I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best. Let us know which way you go.

I just had my breast augmentation on 12/5 and I'm 53!!!! I thought about it for a couple of years and then when I was pretty sure I wanted to do it, I kept putting off making the consultation appt. Once that was done, I had to make the decision on whether to go through with it. I came home, did a little more research and then called the next day to set it up.

This is a decision only you can make. If it's really something you want, have thought about it for awhile and have done all your research, by all means go for it. Once you make the decision, you still have time to cancel. It might help you just knowing you have the date set.

Hey I am having the same problem! I could have my breast augmentation and Lipo on the same day if I called but I am really nervous and not sure now what to do. I met with 2 dr.s and the 1st dr. is the one that has the opening, I liked him but I posted yesterday about my consults, he was super quick, but knew his stuff! I am really worried too cause what if I do it and hate it?? I doubt it but you never know?!!! I have about a million questions I think I am going to call and find out and then talk to hubby again. I will be 28yrs old this month and am a momma to 3 little girls!! What if's are running rampid in my brain yet hubby says "go for it"!!!! I know I am no help just wanted you to know we are in the SAME boat!! Also I have wanted to tell you that my mom used to live in Norco and we used to live right in corona, we are now upnorth more, I miss 6th street deli soooo much!! Do you every go there?? I hope this post is a "post-appt." post!!

I am 44 years old...I made 2 consult appts, one for one week later, the other for 5 weeks. Went to the consult, felt like he knew exactly what I was about, he told me he could do it in 10 days...or wait 8 weeks as he was going out of the country!! I was still 4 weeks out from my 2nd consult!!

Soooo, talked with hubby, and we decided NOW, not later---I was already scheduled for vacation time (it was the holidays), and I knew that I wanted to get through the first few months in cold weather clothes!! That's how we decided---haha---it was a fashion decision!

(not really, of course---but, well, sorta! The time was just right!)

I can honestly say I almost passed out when I called to schedule! But after, and since, I have been AT PEACE.

And, well, ...........I HAVE BOOBIES NOW, and I could still be waiting to go to that other consult!

Ok you guys... Are you ready? I made the Appt! I am getting my boobies on Feb 8. Oh yes I am scared but very excited at the same time. Once these things are in, their in! no mind changing. But truthfully you guys are right I feel a little more at ease now that I took the step to make the appointment.

Thanks for all your support, I wouldnt have been able to get through if I didnt get to talk! well I was texting my best friend all day about it. She is going with me for my breast augmentation until the beau gets there.

good for you Tia I wish I could say the same but no such luck I am just really worried about not having spent that much time with the Dr I was really hoping I would like. I did like him just it felt sooo quick, the consult!!! Keep us posted and Congrats for taking such a HUGE step!!

(((((TIA!!)))))) I've been checking and checking and checking this thread, to see what you decided! I am so excited for you!! You did it!! One major step behind you. You can relax a bit now. You will not regret making your appt.! I will only be one day ahead of you and if all goes well, I will TRY and post later that day. Tho' I can't promise........ who knows what the pain meds will do to me. You and Tam are the same day, I'm only one day dif. We are boobie sisters, right? All will be well.

Yea, I feel a little better. But still very scared. I think one big thing that bothers me is (this is what mostly stopped me 8 years ago) that what if I dont like it when its done? that feeling you get like after you get a tattoo and say "what the hell did i do that for?" but then its too late, you cant take them out. its gonna be wierd. i guess you could remove them but it wouldnt be pretty. haha.

I am just trying to absorb what I just did and whats going to happen to me.

Slinky, I hope you can post after your surgery and I will try too as well but I have to stay in LA overnight(an 1 hour and 1/2 away from home) so it might be the next day.

All I know is they better give me the good drugs!
