No, love. But they may or may not have you remove any nail polish. I removed polish before I left home though my PS did not say so. Other surgical procedures did have me do this.

Hmmm... Not really sure. I'd say its a good idea to call and check with your PS, especially if it has to do with the do's and don'ts of surgery.

Congrats though on getting your BA tomorrow! I'm so jealous! Keep us posted on you're recovery which will hopefully be GREAT!!!

I was told the finger they put the heart monitor on, needs to be free of any polish and false nails. The others are allowed to stay.

It could be different with different surgeons though!

I was told anything you could see the "fill" in your fingernails through was fine. When you squeeze your finger the fingernail & tip of the finger will stay white for a second. They can tell by how long it takes your fingers to "fill", or turn back pink, how good your circulation in your extrmities is. So, although all PS's arel different, I would imagine if you can see that it should be fine.

I wore french manicured acrylics and polished toes (well actually I kept my socks on, so that didn't matter!) They need to be able to see the nail bed, so no colored polish, but other than that I think it's up to your doctor.

Yes you can. PS explained to me. It's an old school way they used to do with no fingernail polish. I just had BA 3 weeks ago.
