How long did it take to get in for a consult?

Called three doctors in Ottawa today (Nov 9th.) First: next Tuesday (and received a call later in the day advising of a cancellation tomorrow, but I couldn't make it). Second: next Thursday, but that was the only date left before January. Third: February 2010. Am now a little concerned about the one with the wide open schedule. I may be impatient, but it's kind of like a restaurant - I don't want to wait in line, but I don't want all the tables to be empty, either.

Dr. Lista 2 weeks wait for consult.
Surgery 2.5 months later, when it made sense for me

I've had several consults in San Antonio, TX...wait was from 1-3 weeks
