![]() | Anyone Use SurgeryLoans.com?
Hey ladies. While I'm trying to save as much cash as I can (and think I can make it to about 8k) . . . I realize that if I also need to get on some sort of a financing plan. The PS I am just about ready to book with charges over 10k. But I really want to go to him. So I applied for a loan with SurgeryLoans. I asked for a 6k loan, and was approved for it. All I have to do is call up the loan representative for details about my loan. But before I call up and get suckered into saying "I DO," I just wanted to ask you girls a few questions. 1. Have you used SurgeryLoans? If so, what's your opinion of it? 2. The PS I'm going to book with suggested this loan company. Is this the only loan company I can use? In other words, do plastic surgeons only work with certain loan companies, and therefore limit your loan opportunities to only 1 or 2 loan companies? Or can I go with any loan company that I choose to go with? Thanks ladies! Crossing my fingers for April 6th

I got approved through surgeryloans for 15k (full amount I needed) they failed to tell me that 1500 of that was used as a security so only 13.5 would actually go to my surgeon They did have a lower finance rate of 14.9% but I chose not to go with them because of the way they acted like they told me about the security fee when in actuality they didn't .. I only saw it when I got my paperwork emailed to me I applied through my own bank and got approved for the whole amount at a 16% finance rate (with the 1500 held back by surgeryloans I figured the payback in the end would be about the same) either way financing sucks! My plan is to pay it off sooner than 5 years Hope that helped care credit is another finance company you could try if you wanted

I went through surgeryloans and the guy was so friendly I guess that 1500 is commission that the rep that helps you makes. Its not really surgeryloans that gives you the money they send your info to a bunch of banks and if one of them wants to they give your app to that bank its basically like a finders fee they found you a bank that is willing to give you the loan so they get that 1500 for it. Mine wasn't 1500 I only asked for 5000 but I only used 3250 then the commission tact on would be 4100 so he made like 900 bucks off me but they didnt tell me this and on the paper work I thought they must of typed it in wrong but i wanted the boobs bad so what the hell I paid it. I havent had any problems I would recommend then it does suck that they freeze a certain amount I'd say ask for a higher amount than what you need.

Ewwwwww! I wonder if all of these plastic surgery loan companies (e.g. care credit, etc.) make you pay a security fee!? Thanks for your insight, lOvy!

Thanks for the clarification! That's not what my "friendly" advisor told me it was for. He said it was security since the loan is a no collateral loan and high risk

![]() | I used Surgeryloans.com. I asked for $5000 and was approved. I was hesitant like you at first also, but I went with them and I have had no problem. They were very nice and easy to work with. It works much like Care, you get a lower interest rate for the first 24 months and then it goes up, so it's best to try and pay it off quickly. And to answer your question, yes surgeons do have their preference for the companies they work with. My PS had a list of 4 or 5 companies they preferred. With Surgeryloans.com, once my PS's office confirmed the date of surgery with them, they sent the check, very quick and no hassle, so I'm guessing that was one reason they were preferred by my PS. By the way, I didn't have a security fee taken out of my loan amount, all 5000 grand went to the PS.HTH |

VERY interesting! I would have much rather gone with surgeryloans because of the lower interest rate

does anyone mind if they tell me their credit score and if they were approved? my boyfriend is trying to get a loan and his credit isnt that great, its 643 considered fair. they said that he was not approved and would need a co-signer. i have excellent credit but dont want to use my credit because i still have lots of student loans to get as i am going to medical school next year. i then rechecked the status of the loan online and now it says approved but when i called they said to call back tomorrow for more info???? what the heck?
